csmart 472 Report post Posted March 28, 2008 (edited) both these models are not worth the hype. S720 is nothing but S710 of gsm. display is very very basic. no touch screen which is must for PDA or smart phone.while p3000 looks old 02 xda.. basicaly both of these models are older and seems tht HTC is duping old products in Inida. s usual, Reliance is coming sub standards phone. if both cos want to give good phone, then where is touch cdma???? wht abt 6800 from htc or other such good phones.. i think Blackberry peal is better options than these two Edited March 28, 2008 by csmart
Saurav 22 Report post Posted March 29, 2008 HTC models having both qwerty keyboard & touch screen costs more than Rs 20,000 in GSM category. so 720 is little overpriced when compared with its GSM counterpart 710 costing about Rs 16000/-

Saurav 22 Report post Posted March 30, 2008 I have heard that S720 ses Lithium Ion Polymer Battery, which I have already used in GTRAN and had a worst experience.
Dj 25 Report post Posted March 30, 2008 Saurav on the contrary... li-poly is being touted as being the next step after li-ion batteries... some of our forum members have used it with 6700 and for the size of a regular stock battery, they've had almost 1.25 times the battery power... Dj 25 Report post Posted March 30, 2008 i read those posts... i guess battery has always been an issue with all smartphones and pdas and specially if theyre running windows mobile... large screen, heavy processor, and greater number of running processes as compared to just a phone... i used the xv6700 and with a lot of battery conservation i used to only notch 1/2 a day on a charge... but ppl i know with the same phone and a li-poly battery could get more juice out of their rigs... all said, if ur planning to go for a win mob phone over ur nokia then be prepared to keep ur charger handy always... kesav 127 Report post Posted April 1, 2008 S720 is the first instrument from Reliance which can work on EVDO Rev A. So you should feel proud to own this piece. Blackberry 8830, 8130, Motorola K1M, L1c, V9m all can only work on EVDO Rev 0.
kshah 452 Report post Posted April 1, 2008 but whats the use of EVDO rev 0 or rev 1 till we do not have EVDO? Isnt it just hypothetical value?
Dj 25 Report post Posted April 1, 2008 i think its the human need to be prepared with the next generation technology... i remember buying a gsm phone with gprs as a feature long before gprs started here in india... when gprs came abt i had already switched four instrus since that one... but i think evdo is the buzzword now... nd bsnl having announced it... others should follow suit... no harm speculating though
