greendesert 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2008 I have an old LG3000 set which takes a sim card. Is it possible to use/switch different RIM sims in the mobile and use it. What I mean is whether all technical info are now stored in the sim rather on the mobile phone itself as in the earlier sets ? thanks
Honest 836 Report post Posted March 21, 2008 ^^^ My dear friend, if your handset support ruim then surely you can change your ruim cards and use it with different numbers. And what kind of technical info you are asking about ? Regards.
greendesert 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2008 ^^^And what kind of technical info you are asking about ? Regards. With which any phone INSTRUMENT is identified which seems to be different from the 10 digit no. Is RUIM separately available as in the case of tataindicom ? ACS 130 Report post Posted April 30, 2008 The ruim only carries the mobile no, just like a GSM sim does. Apart from that, it can take up a capacity of 150 to 250 phone book memory depending on the old or new ruim cards. Its a very handy tool therefore in transfering a mobile no and its phonebook memory from 1 ruim based phone to another.. No other 'technical info' is present on it.
