Dj 25 Report post Posted April 8, 2008 Today, Samsung announced the SGH-D780, which is claimed to be the successor of the D880. However, unlike the slider, this candybar doesn’t use the DuoS branding, although it is also a GSM with two SIM cards. That is rather strange, since this is just the second Samsung phone with this feature (not counting the P720, which was showcased, but not really announced) and it doesn’t make sense for Samsung to abandon the name. Just as with the D880, the two SIM cards in the D780 are autonomous and you can start or receive a call through any of them. D780 is a tri-band candybar with a 2.1-inch QVGA display and a 2-megapixel camera. It will be first available in Russia, staring in May and shortly afterwards in Europe, Middle East and Southeast Asia.
