You can check by putting your RUIM card (if it is with you) in some other phone and check. Otherwise call Reliance CC and talk to them and explain your problem persuasively. @jabir Cant change ringtone - strange? @hetaldp could you pls look into this small irritating issue. Thanks a lot. (read in previous topics) In original rom no need to install this 3 cab file one for r world with r world setting we charged 1rs/10kb we can manually setting done in the connection option for rconnect . vishalsheth 19 Report post Posted July 19, 2008 I had applied the whole sprint rom. The prl got updated but was showing sprint instead of reliance. also did not connect to the internet. I went through the original procedure with the QPST and cdma workshop and found that I was different settings. I made the changes and I am on. I've not run any of the cabs. I made the settings new. UPDATE FOR HETAL: when making cabs for other reliance connections such as reliance mobile world, rel netconnect, make a new one for rel netconnect usa. the only difference is that the user name changes to (your mobile number)@relcomm.com. password is the same. BTW original Sprint 3.56 ROM- RUU_TITAN_SPRINT_WWE_3.56.651.0_RS_TITAN_3.42.02_SPCS2.04_PPST_0718_Ship.exe released on HTC US site http://www.htc.com/us/FAQ_Detail.aspx?p_id=75&act=sd But it is slightly different in bytes from that on PPCGeeks and also PPST is 0718 instead of 0619 on PPCGeeks. Greatest 55 Report post Posted July 23, 2008 @dhiraj, i have downloaded the above ROM... now in order to install tht in my mogul do i need to do the following (in order), 1) Flash the rom to mogul 2) Upload hard SPL (the one which is in the folder provided by hetal for the first time i think in march/april) 3) change the e*n, m*n, etc 4) run the mtty application 5) run cdma workshop (again the same one which is there in hetals first time submission, as above) 6) QPST service programming If you think i should do something else or have the the hard SPL, mtty & QPST need to be updated, if any...??? thanks Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
dkaile 1,051 Report post Posted July 23, 2008 (edited) ^^^^ If you have done the steps 2 to 6 above, earlier in March/April, then you do not need to repeat them. It means that HardSPL olipro must already have been loaded on your 6800 (but pls confirm pls, otherwise you can brick your handset) because without that you could not have changed e** M** in the first place. No need to do that again. You can straight away load this new ROM as per hetals instruction on first page of this post, and then you can proceed to load Hetals new rom (if you wish) after loading his ext ROM. But do remember not to let the Sprint Customisations run when this new sprint rom loads for the first time, otherwise you will have to load PRL again in QPST. Greatest 55 Report post Posted July 23, 2008 (edited) ^^^ a) the hrad SPL is already in my MOGUL... i had done the steps from 2-6 during April, when i layed my hands on my mogul... u r true, without which i wouldnt have been able to change the e** and m**... so the steps i had done it properly.... b ) I do not wish to install new rom of hetal... but do let me know, that after installing this new official rom, do i need to load the ext rom?? and as far as i know, loading of the extended rom is like, just to place the contents of 6800-exrom.rar into the root directory of the SD card?? c) How do i not let the sprint customisations run after installing the above rom?? i am not able to understand... d) one last thing, you have asked me to see the first post of this topic, in which hetal says in the first step itself to install "HardSPL Olipro2.4 Hard SPL MFG"... now im confused.. should i install or not?? dkaile 1,051 Report post Posted July 23, 2008 ^^^^ As you already have HardSPL Olipro - NO NEED TO DO IT AGAIN (I think that answers your point a) and d) above) If you do not wish to load Hetal's ROM but need Reliance settings follow the this link by Anupe in post 28 of this topic http://www.rimweb.in/forums/index.php?show...mp;#entry111998 .This has also been detailed by Vijay in Post 336 above. You can stop Sprint Customisations from running by doing soft reset when it has loaded the new Sprint ROM and it says on screen "Loading Sprint EXT ROM/Customisations (or something like that) in 3 Seconds" This message will appear the first time when you will load the Sprint ROM - You have to do Soft Reset at that point immediately when you see this message about loading Sprint Customisations. When ever u load original rom u also load reliance prl using QPST .Because sprint prl is preinstall in original sprint rom. Greatest 55 Report post Posted July 24, 2008 @ vijay, could you please confirm that i have to do the following things (in order) to reload the reliance prl?? a) enter into bootloader (by holding power button and camera button) b ) run mtty application and enter all the commands and change the CID to 00000000 c) get the SPC from mogul d) put the phone in diag mode e) run cdma workshop enter all details and click 'write to phone' f) then only should i do the qpst programming, am i right?? You should preferably change it to 000000 in CDMA workshop so that you do not have to remember it again, in SP* field with nv_write. Greatest 55 Report post Posted July 24, 2008 Everything is perfect now... thanks to dhiraj/vijay/ABC... one thing i would like to let you guys know... the SP* when i entered during the service programming, which i had done it on the get SP* in my sd card with my new e** (the one on reliance), it did not work. It said the SP* is incorrect.... Then i found out the SP* of my actual mogul which is found on the box of my mogul, and guess what, the qpst service programming accepted it... its great na... another thing i tried with the service programming... when you enter all the details in the tabs (roam, gpsone, cdma, nam, etc.), there is another tab in it called as the display tab. In it where there was written reliance, i changed it to 'Greatest', my nick (he he)... and now i can see greatest written in places, where there was reliance earlier...!! qpst is a cool program...!! and many thanks to you guys...
