Greatest 55 Report post Posted April 13, 2008 I am staying in an area where 2 towers of the reliance network converge. So my phone catches these two towers randomly and fast also. This has an effect on the light of the screen. Once a network is caught, the lights switch on and the network area is shown, and again after a few seconds or mins. another network area is shown with the lights on. This way my battery drains very fast (it is on only for approx. 6 hrs.) whenever im at home, i have to keep it on charge. Is tehre any way wherein which i can change some setting and the lightrs stop lighting themselves, when a network area is caught? hope to get a response from you techno geeks... Also wanted to let everybody on this forum know that its a great place for newbie's like me... You guys are the best..!!
Honest 836 Report post Posted April 13, 2008 ^^^ My dear friend, you can set your mobile's BACKLIGHT function to always off mode, if it is their in your handset. This way your phones backlight will never turn on due to network change. And it seems that in your area, you are getting fluctuating network. Just file a complaint with CC and see if something can be done in this matter from Reliance. Regards.
spknair 1 Report post Posted April 13, 2008 If backlight switch on frequently, there should, not only two towers but also two towers from different SDCA's. If two towers are at same SDCA the backlight never lighten up when switching. It is also sure that you will face call droping problem also My friend's LL had the same problem, which resolved by CC

savramesh 37 Report post Posted April 14, 2008 i am having 6265 and my house is in the middle of 2 towers (both diff SDCA). so once in 10-15 minutes (mostly) my mobile changes network and light glows. to solve this i found a place inside house where mobile get mostly one tower signal and kept the mobile there. now hardly once in an hour or two it changes the tower. also do not keep the mobile on table or floor. keep it in a stand as shown in the image so that it gets more signal.
