kesav 127 Report post Posted April 26, 2008 BSNL to launch new postpaid service Tiruchirappali, April 26: BSNL will launch a new service to lure postpaid subscribers, HM Abubacker, General Manager, Cellular Mobile Telecom Service, Tamil Nadu Telecom Circle, said on Saturday.Christened 'jodi', the new scheme would enable a postpaid subscriber to "couple" with one more person of his or her choice and enjoy the benefit together. BSNL Tamil Nadu Circle (entire Tamil Nadu except Chennai metro city limits) would send one sim card to all the postpaid subscribers in another 10 days by courier. On receipt of the sim card the subscriber can oblige a fresh connectivity to a partner (jodi) be it a spouse, a fiance, roommate or a colleague in the office. The activation of the sim card is also made simple and BSNL would do it instantly to the new jodi by one signal via SMS. The activation charges and as well as the rent is free of cost under the scheme being introduced for the first time in the country. Both the members of the jodi enjoy concessional tariff for any outgoing calls be it to BSNL mobile, landline or any other service provider. STD calls are also cheaper than the regular postpaid tariffs. The two members of the jodi can transmit any number of voice calls or SMS totally free of cost and any one of them can afoot the two bills or each one of them can separately pay off the monthly bill amounts. As of now BSNL (Cellone) has a customer case of 24 lakh in Tamil Nadu out of which 22 lakh fell under the prepaid mode. With the new scheme launch, Abubacker was hopeful that the stagnated postpaid segment would improve at least by 75 percent in the coming months. source :: http://www.zeenews.com/articles.asp?aid=43...BUS&ssid=54 This offer looks awesome......
