santhoshavanoor 7 Report post Posted April 29, 2008 Dear Friends, I'm residing in a village and there is no coverage for reliance mobile. Before I'm using LG handset and have an external antenna to improve the signal quality. But now I purchased Spice C-810 and want to use CDMA signal repeater (Wireless). Can anyone have idea from where I can purchase this antenna in India or how much is the price for that. I searched in Internet and found too much repeaters. But if we need to purchase, we need to import it from China. Thanks Santhosh

santhoshavanoor 7 Report post Posted April 29, 2008 Dear Kshah, Thanks for your reply. Tomorrow I'll try myself to build an antenna, but I want to purchase an signal booster with internal tranreceiver, so we don't want to plug antenna to the mobile. Is there any store in India to sell these type of repeaters? Surely, ADA will not pay for this. They are looking for their own pocket and giving false information to public that they have covered most of villages in India. Defenity not.

kshah 452 Report post Posted April 30, 2008 santhosh, i spoke to my frnd who is doing wifi jobs, he suggested as following. Instead of buying expensive repeaters 1. Make 2 antena install one on roof of building, put second antena in building connect both antenas with good quality shielded cable. 2. Look for car cellular antena, which has two antenas. He was sure that with either of this, you do not need to buy repeaters. Repeaters are not very good for health as it emits waves at higher wattage.

santhoshavanoor 7 Report post Posted August 15, 2008 Hi, Friends, I tried to build the antenna by myself, but no improvement in signal. It is not practical. Either we required a signal booster or repeater. I have contacted Reliance and they told me that within 4 months they are installing new cell site in our village. I'm waiting for that. Or if there is number portability implicated, then I'll choose other operator. Or another chance, if Govt. issued spectrum for WiMAX, then reliance can improve their signal strength. santhoshavanoor 7 Report post Posted August 15, 2008 Hi friends, I tried to build the antenna, but it is not working. May be we need signal booster between the antenna. anyway I'm trying to build another type, if I won, then surely I will post the same in this thread.
