deogan 0 Report post Posted May 19, 2008 I am able to surf net on the phone. But when I connect my laptop to net through USB, I get a tray icon showing connected at 10.0 mbps. But when I try to open a page it does not open. The miniature icon in the tray shows my laptop making a request but the remote computer not responding. If I open connection status, it shows some bytes sent but nothing received. Please help on this.

dkaile 1,051 Report post Posted May 19, 2008 (edited) ^^^^ Yes, but you may also need HTC Diagnostic USB Modem Drivers, which you can download from the cracking-6800.rar link from the Dummies Guide forum @deogan - If your problem gets solved, then do leave a reply in this thread for the benefit of the other members facing similiar problem Edited May 19, 2008 by dkaile
kshah 452 Report post Posted May 20, 2008 If handset do not have WMODEM installed then you can not connect to computer. WM5 (AKU 3.5) onwards they have connection sharing instead of WMODEM and some times firewall too causes problem.

The smart phone will show connected status and PC will show the network icon in tray. open a blank web page and go to tools Goto internet options select connections tab There select never dial a connection open Lan connections tab tick automatically detect settings untick proxy settings click ok start surfing
