dkaile 1,051 Report post Posted May 20, 2008 I need urgent help to connect my Nokia 6265 on my Windows XP SP3 Laptop. Sorry, I tried searching the entire forum but could not find a resolution, hence opening the new topic. I have installed the latest Nokia PC Suite. I can transfer all my contacts etc. via PC Suite. My phone gets properly detected and in the Phone & Modems settings also, Nokia Modem is detected on com9. I have also entered the extra initialisation string command 'at+crm=1;+cso=33", but to no avail. When I query the modem in the Phone & Modem settings, it gets properly detected. I have created a new dialup connection with #777 and my 10 digit Reliance no. as user name and password. BUT I keep getting error 628 when I try to connect and it does not get connected. Pls help.... dkaile 1,051 Report post Posted May 20, 2008 Finally found solution. Went to Webworld - Duffers there - No solutions. Seems that the Nokia PC Suite itself was creating the problem. Uninstalled PC Suite. Deleted Nokia modem and Network Connection. Restarted PC. Directly connected Nokia 6265 to DKU2 cable, without any drivers. It detected phone and asked to connect to internet to download the drivers. Let it do that. It automatically searched the drivers on the internet (5 min on broadband). Modem installed automatically. Asked me to download PC Suite - Avoided that. Created new Network connection. Fed the AT commands I have detailed above-again. And Voila it got connected. But what the heck, Nokia software incompatible with Nokia phone. **LL **IT
