concon 0 Report post Posted June 10, 2008 that is pretty neat!! I completely agree, Palm OS is very neat. I am a Treo 600 (GSM) user and I have made several attempts to switch to another device but everytime I have come back to Treo 600. Devices that I tried: a. HTC Hermes (TyTN) WM6 phone b. Nokia E61i c. Blackberry 8700 d. Treo 650 (I stopped using it because battery time was an issue) When I used the above phones, I missed my Treo 600 for : a. speed (software speed). You have to feel this to believe it, especially when compared with speed of Nokia E61i that runs S60. On Treo switching applications is far far quicker and easier. b. speed (my ability to type - maybe I am used to Treo's keyboard). The keys are very nice spaced out unlike HTC phones where its difficult to feel movement from one key to another. As a result, on HTC phones, you have to be looking at the phone keyboard all the time, while you type. c. User Interface. Small small UI issues like display when you make a call, ability to search for a message/ mail.... are all very well designed. As a result I am now trying to get a Treo700P which I can use on RIM also. At the same time my wishlist for Palm OS includes: a. WIFI support (Treo WM version has support for SDIO wifi card) b. Jog dial (I used this on Blackberry and TYTN and it was pretty useful)

Saurav 22 Report post Posted June 15, 2008 Sadik your posts and your new handsets attract me to change handset.
kshah 452 Report post Posted June 18, 2008 I have one centro right now in my hand but I am unable to make it on reliance. Tata its possible. I have almost bricked handset in process See specs comparison in attached image. It is apparent that apart from size and weight there is no much advantage of having CENTRO over 755P. I am omitting 700P as it has antena and many people may not prefer it. I think 755 has following advantages 1. Bigger and more convenient key board. 2. Bigger screen. 3. Bigger battery and better talk time. Centro is lighter and smaller. But at the same time screen is smaller (Resolution is same for both) and key board is not as convenient. I prefer 755P over centro. Sadikk 301 Report post Posted June 18, 2008 Yes even i prefer 755P for its keyboard and blackberry looks. It does everything what any other OS can do. And trust me i never missed my Nokia 6275 after using 755P. ( Its still lying on my workstation) Whereas Centro has very compact keyboard comparing to 755P but anytime better thn blackberry. Also the main advantage is its really cheap comparing to WM ppcs.
