Tata Teleservices Launches New Tariff Vouchers

NEW DELHI: Telecom service provider Tata Teleservices today launched two special tariff vouchers for its pre-paid and post-paid customers with reduced STD and roaming charges by upto 40 per cent. Tata Teleservices introduced two special tariff vouchers Power Plus and Platinum Plan for its pre-paid and post-paid subscribers respectively, Tata Teleservices said in a statement.

The Power Plus voucher which is priced at Rs 69 allows the pre-paid subscribers to make STD calls at the rate of Re1 per minute with a local call rate of 49 paise per minute for calls made to other network mobile customers. Furthermore, the rates of incoming calls received and local calls made while on roaming will be reduced to Re1 per minute to any number.

Under the Platinum Plan, post-paid customers can enjoy making STD calls and local calls at Re 1 and 50 paise per minute respectively. Priced at Rs 349, the voucher is complimented with an additional free talk value worth Rs 349. Tata Teleservices COO, Delhi and NCR, Vineet Bhatia said, "The introduction of our Power plus and Platinum tariff plans offer highly competitive price point to our customers wherein they can make affordable STD, roaming as well as local calls."

I don't know from where you got the news that these were launched 'today'. These plans are available for quite a few days now.

The 'Platinum 349' plan is not that attractive on the count that the free value of Rs 349 is for making local calls only. While Business Silver and Gold plans cover all calls (local+STD+ISD) in the free value.

Platinum 349 has attractive tariffs but the only drawback is that the free value of rs349 is only valid for local calls. No sms, std included in this free value.

Then it must be a delayed featured story in the Economic Times. I found these newly introduced plans at least 20 days back on the official website of Tata Indicom.
