Arun 795 Report post Posted June 4, 2008 One of my friend said he got an SMS from Reliance saying that EVDO is coming soon with 2 mpbs speed. I haven't seen that SMS though. Not sure whether they will launch it before the 3G license is auctioned, which is getting delayed further and further.
rbpyogesh 0 Report post Posted June 5, 2008 Even If EVDO comes what will happen to Data card?? I am sure they are not going to give an offer an free EvDo connection for existing Data customers So i guess Datcards future is not Bright enough in the cities Also Reliance should reduce the tariff DataCard I saw an article which stated Unlimited connection for Datacard at Rs700 for Punjab customers They are yet to introduce this to Rest Of India Even if They do Bsnl offer is bit cheaper 250 Per Month
madhuresh123 0 Report post Posted June 7, 2008 I think Reliance is not going to increase its speed, atleast not in the near future.. Reliance claims that in Datacard it gives a speed of 144 kbps. But, in reality, it gives a speed of a maximum of 20 kbps. Thats really weird and first of all, this needs to be rectified.
@mitJ@in 256 Report post Posted June 8, 2008 Fyi. Reliance is going to reduce Data Tariff very shortly. Currently, they have already reduces it for Punjab Circle. @mitJ@in 256 Report post Posted June 12, 2008 Right now we do not have EVDO technology available with Reliance..Its available in Some areas surrounding DAKC.. But dun know what is Reliance Netconnect Speed available there. Whether EVDO available there supports it or not :s
KumaarShah 143 Report post Posted June 13, 2008 As long as 3G is not yet available in India, EVDO by private players looks a distant possibility. BSNL/MTNL have been given the go-ahead by GoI and this is very discriminatory. But then, this is INDIA. Anything is possible here.
Honest 836 Report post Posted June 13, 2008 ^^^ Even MTNL still not introduced EVDO my dear friends. Regards.
Greatest 55 Report post Posted June 13, 2008 at present the operators r pursuading their mktg depts to reach out to the rural areas, as the usability there is very very low... and until india does not have a proper integration of mobility to a mass of the ppl, EVDO or 3G is a difficult preposition.... also rightly quoted by KumaarShah, this is INDIA... the babus might do as needed... as their pockets might fill... no offence!! just a kidding moment!! @mitJ@in 256 Report post Posted June 13, 2008 People living outside Delhi and Mumbai are enjoying EVDO. It is very strange. - Delhi and Mumbai, Metros do not have such facility.
