Recommended Posts

I am On 2 Months free usage plan

My validity is going to end in few weeks time

So i need to make a choice

which is better prepaid or Postpaid

Rates of prepaid seems to be better and a bit cheaper than postpaid

So should i go for prepaid plans

Also where can I buy the recharge vouchers???????

@rbpyogesh

My dear friend, it all depends on your usage. If your usage is high then you must go for Postpaid and if your usage is less then Prepaid will be comfortable for you.

You can get the recharge voucher for prepaid netconnect at your nearest weblworld.

Regards.

Why should it matter whether your usage is high... for selecting a pre-paid? If tariffs are lower in pre-paid, you would benifit... your usage level notwithstanding!

In post paid you wont be able to keep tabs on your usage the same way you can with pre-paid. On the other hand you can avail of things like detailed bill, if you go in for post paid.

Many people find it a hassle to find re-charge vouchers at odd hours. But then you can opt for internet recharge, ATM recharge, etc... maybe even keep a voucher or 2 handy for a rainy day...

My dear friend, the voucher for Netconnect usage in Reliance is different from the vouchers we use for Mobile recharge.

Thanks,

I just checked at my nearest Reliance Communications Store and they say You should have been a coustomer of Reliance Net connect for 6 months and only after that u can change to prepaid

When i said My first bill of Postpaid did not arrive and i have been a free user he said The Two months free usage is only for postpaid customers

I thought the offer was applicble to everyone

next i asked him where the Prepaid vouchers and he said it is available only at Reliance webworld

he also said that they will charge 500 rupees for changing from Postpaid to prepaid

Strange rules for R net connect

500 bucks just to convert to pre-paid?? They gotta be kidding... thats preposterous!!! Isn't this supposed to be free? As per TRAI regulations, plan migration is supposed to be free. Not too sure about post to pre paid migration. Anybody here knows? In any case havent heard of other operators charging for this...

There are many factors to consider. One more factor is that in pre-paid you can get full talk time vouchers with most operators. That means the service tax burden will be borne by the operator. While in pre-paid you will have to pay almost 13% over the tariff opted for.

RCOM is becoming preposterous (not that they weren't earlier, also) Thy have started ridiculous amounts for terminations, migrations etc etc. Even I cannot believe it. But Amit Jain here on our forum should know better since he is a RCO also.
