Can Reliance beat this?

225 minutes of local means 75 local calls. is max u can make. that too only local.

Then reliance one india offer is better 180 u will get 50 free calls(Not 50 Minutes) irrespective of local or STD.

Then if u r making local calls only and that to 75 local calls means u will be charged 205 + tax Not 225 + tax.

This is just a number game from TATA. Tata is just using the crroked miund of reliance now a days

Absolutely true, TATA which once was a trusted name is now no more a trusted name. They are copying RCOM in fooling and cheating customers.

Your calculation of Rs. 75 is absolute but comparing it with 180 plan is totally irrelavant.

180 plan is available across all providers BSNL, TATA and Reliance and implemented very effectively by TATA(even STD TATA mobiles are at Rs.1/3min) but certainly that plan comes nowhere closer to this plan in terms of local call charges which is USP of this plan.

As for as innovation is concerned I always rank TATA(walky and mobile) and BSNL(in landline segment alone) better than any other service providers. Because they are always trend setters and the rest are all just mere followers.

I just took Reliance One India plan as an example. I will go with ur option. That is 180 plan of tata which provides 50 free calls not 50 free minutes. Using One India Plan if you are making local calls only that too for 225 minutes that will be 75 local calls. U will be charges only 205+tax.

It has been told that 225 minutes of local calls and 1 local call is 3 minutes. that means u will get only 75 local calls.

I think Now You will be clear

I fully agree with the above. In Tata, the pulse for local calls is 3 mins, so even if you speak for 5 secs, you will be charged for a full 3 mins. This is where TATA will be expensive. If they calculate local calls on per minute pulse i.e. 33.33ps per minute, then this plan surely rox.

Could someone check with Tata CC on the pulse duration for local calls?

Yes, Hritik is correct. I too have `Lifetime Walky' which is rent free. Whatever amount I make calls, I am required to pay only that. The most attractive component of its tariff is local mobile calls of any operator, which is charged @Rs 1.2/3min. Even BSNL doesn't extend this low rate for their on-net calls to mobiles from landline. Walky to Walky calls anywhere in India is Rs 1.2/3min.

But this attractive plan has been withdrawn from new customers.

I've been insisting and continue to insist that one India plan and this plan is drastically different in tariff-wise.

In one India plan, only local onnet is charged with Rs.1/3 mins but in this plan all local calls are charged at Rs.1/3 mins.

Just tell me one plan from any operator where all offnet local calls are charged at 0.33p/min at the rental of Rs.150

Hope now everything is clear to you

@kesav,

Could you please find out whether the pulse duration (for local calls only) is 60 secs or 3 minutes? If 60 sec. then this plan is indeed very good as you say, but on the contrary, if it is 180 secs, then this will prove costly to some users who finish their calls within say 60 secs.

Certainly its Rs.1/3mins my dear friend and not per minute pulse.

In this era of 30p termination charge, TATA is just trying to get 3p earning from each offnet minute. That in itself is fabulous.

For the people who speaks very little it may not be useful and its really useful for the people who always indulge in lengthy talks for any call(say > 6 mins).
