Zte Mg880 Problems

Hi Friends,

I finally got ZTE MG880 USB modem. But it connects at 28.8 kbps. with download speed of 1KBPS~2KBPS.

Did anyone else encounter the same problem? if so how did you solve it?

I thought this problem needs to be listed in main topics.

Rcom site has put troubleshooting for HUWIE card and not for ZTE.

I went to ZTEIT.COM site given in Installation guide, to my surprise its totally in chinese language!.

I called the customer care but they are not understanding the problem.

'Sir, peak time mein aisa hota hain!!

Dikhayega 28kbps par downoad karo tho accha speed ajata hain!!'

I am not able to open even Google classic page in one minute!.

Reliance Signal show all 5 bars.

Please help me out of this problem before i throw this card in Arabian Sea.

According to my experience

You should never tell your browsing speed,Those guys do not understand about this

Always tell your Download speed

Upgrade to new Version of ZTE CDMA 1 X Modem Drivers.

Then it will show 230.6 Kbps by default and will give upto 144kbps.

If u are telling to install new drivers from the website

Then can u explain how to install the,???

I downloaded ZTE MG 880 driver and after restarting when i plugged in and started the software it says no USB detected

So can u help me in solving the problem

hey hi this is ANKIT...

Actually my problem is also same as of above... i installed the new software... & it is saying that no USB detected... then i again installed previous one from the withheld cd, now its working again.... but still the connection speed is 28.8kbps only...

Amit Jain plz tell us from where u downloaded the latest dialer, which even worked... since the new dialer is not asking for installing modem driver..

Isn't there any1 who could find out the solution of this problem , & could let us know. As i need to download heavily, & i am just able to get a download speed of hardly 10-15 KBps only...

Even the classic page is google is taking time to load in that...

So plz reply here asap..

@luckyankit:::::10-15kBps is too gud for download,u are actually getting 120kbps which is quite Normal

r u having unlimited connection???

if u have UL then u can download heavily else u need to pay a lot of money for downloading

Regarding Classic page of Google it will depend on number Speed of G server

Gmail will also be slow because of the same reason

Sometimes it happens with other websites as well

Dude,

28.8 Kbps problem is just an ZTE software issue with some machines.It will show normal connection status in other machines,So dont rely on that.Check whether ur getting the average browsing/dowload speed.
