RSumit 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2004 (edited) Hi, We've uploaded polyphonic ringtones to our cells through MMS. Now since N191 supports voice tones, I must be able to upload my own voice recordings too. Now how can I upload my own recorded voice tones ? What is the format of the voice tones (like its mmf for polytones). Can this be done throug MMS if u know the format of the voice tones? But the problem is that there aren't any voice tones in RWorld MMS gallery. So its not possible to send voice tones through MMS to email in oder to know its format. So r there any other process?? Any other methods??? Think... Edited November 7, 2004 by RSumit

Code 0 Report post Posted November 14, 2004 Now since N191 supports voice tones, I must be able to upload my own voice recordings too. Now how can I upload my own recorded voice tones ? U need to create a SMAF file which contains the PCM wav file (? 8bit)*embedded in it. This can be done with the tools available from yamaha plus a voice recording software. Check out: http://smaf-yamaha.com/tools/index.html *= I am unsure if samsung 191 supports ma3 or ma2 format. Some smasung user will help U on that.

jigar657 0 Report post Posted May 7, 2005 hey guys, i was able to record my own voice in windows sound recorder and was able to save it as a ringtone on my samsung n191. this is what i did. 1. recorded my voice at 8000 hz, 8bit, mono (so that the file is small) 2. save the file and open it in psm player. 3. save it as smaf-jsky. 4. keep max file limit as 4000bytes 5. save it and send it thru mms. thats it !!! y dont we all work on it and using many trials and errors see if we can send mp3's or part of mp3's too... luv jigar
