nisant666 0 Report post Posted July 1, 2008 hi every body, i am starting a new topic because i couldn't find any topic similar when i searched. yesterday i purchased a samsung max from delhi. there i checked it with a tata sim and it was working fine. after coming back home a strange thing is happening. the network goes off every now and then and it comes back automatically. this is becoming irritating while making calls. along with mobile the reliance chaps has given me a reliance sim.(it is not acitivated, any how). if i insert it the network is steady. it never goes off. is this because of the firmware problem? the phone i purchased is installed with a firmware for reliance and that's why it is giving problem for tata? experts please give your opinion? also where can i download the firmware for this phone? i checked the samsung site. but its not available. thanx in advance, regards, nisant Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

TATA Sim is working fine in Samsung Max Reliance Version. but Be careful if u r are new TATA Prepaid No. don`t try 2 active in samsung max if u do so, the sim will block, (TRY ONLY IF U HAVE A ACTIVED NO.) nisant666 0 Report post Posted July 2, 2008 Yes, Don't try to OTAF (Activate) the Reliance Version handset for TATA RUIM. thanks for your reply. i am having a nokia 2865 also. if i am using it with tata, there is no problem. may be the network capacity of samsung max is poor compared to nokia set. one strange thing happened today. when i was typing a message, it got hanged and swithced off. when i tried to switch it on again, but it didn't come on. then i took the battery out, put back again and tried to switch on and this time the phone got switched on. what is this. does my handset got a problem?
