They may be offering unlimited thru proxies and may not support other protocols. Same way airtel too offers AON (Airtel On Line) unlimited for Rs. 99. Each session has limit of 3 MB. But if you download any thing its charged and can not use to check mail / IM

You may try with other handsets but I am not very sure as CDMA settings are difficult to clone some times.

The following is the email reply I got from CMO. In both plans upto 20MB/100MB, it is free - no NUC, no 5ps/10kb. After that limit is crossed, both are applied. However if you use OM, I feel that only 5ps/10kb will apply, the NUC being charged when you access RWorld will kick in. However, friends, nothing is certain unless and until you receive your 1st bill with the detailed charges. After that we can take up the matter once again with CMO.

For DAPO and L4, no NUC will be charged at all. What this means is that RWorld will be free in the default plan, and if you want IA, you need Plan 99 and if you want to download anything further, then you need Plan 199. Once again till your free MB limits, it is free. After that as explained above.

Now is not the above RCOM plans reasonable? From Savramesh's post, Vodafone charges 199 plus 5ps/10kb - no free limits at all. Compare once again with others and see the difference. Compare finally the speeds and the uninterrupted network anywhere with GSM's call drops even near the doors/windows and then decide.

they have split the 10p/10kb as 5p/10kb for reliance network charges and 5p/10kb for 3rd party internet charges.. they are making a good planning to find money from CDMA for GSM operations.

1. can anyone post the charges for blackberry services offered by AIRTEL ?

BSNL is offering 256 kbps unlimited broadband internet for 750 per month.. where as vodafone for mobile internet is 699 that too limited to 1GB..airtel unlimited for 599 etc.. back to bsnl unlimited mobile internet for 199 per month but only in home network.. broadband is becoming cheaper whereas mobile internet especially in reliance is getting costlier...

Hope good plans will be found after the launch of RGSM, 3G and the implementation of using same number when switching service providers etc...

Is anybody able to browse using opera mini without being in any plan?

I am able to use opera mini on Both my handsets(Mogul And Nokia 6265)

Without any Plan.

I am also able to use Opera Mini, Though it was not working on 10th Dec, but I again tried on 11th and its working fine now.

I think Rcom guys are closely monitoring this forum, as they have disable my data usage. From this afternoon I have not been able to use Opera Mini on my Nokia 6265. Please let me know anyone of you guys are facing the same problem in using Opera Mini. I have just checked my latest bill and I am able to see the data usage details in it, though it is onnet and has no charges till my current billing cycle. But for now they have disabled my data plan, though I have Chat & Play-L3 plan.

Have been using both Vodafone and Reliance for browsing sites on mobile.... i must say internet plans from Rcom is a good value for money as compared to the vodafone that i'm using. This also gives me status about my total browsing during the period ( it reminds me of how much pocet money i'm losing on browsing :) )
