Gharshana Smoothly Launched On R World

In a unique, multi-city videoconference on July 21, 2004, Reliance Infocomm has announced that it has joined hands with the producers of the new blockbuster movie Gharshana, featuring Telugu superstar Venkatesh.

Following the tie-up, the customers in Andhra Pradesh as well as those across the country will be able to watch trailers and download wallpapers of their favorite stars in the movie through the R World suite of applications.

An application called ‘Gharshana’ has been created under 'New Arrivals' section in R World that displays links such as 'Plot', 'Win Prizes', 'Wallpapers', 'Team', 'Poll' and 'Trailers' related to the movie. The participants of the contest in R World can win tickets to the movie, audio CDs & cassettes and qualify for video chatting and meeting with the stars of the movie. In addition, new customers buying RIM Prepaid will also get assured movie memorabilia. This initiative is being complemented with various outdoor Reliance IndiaMobile activities like hoardings across Andhra Pradesh, in film branding, kiosks at Reliance WebWorlds and so on.

The videoconference held at the state-of-the-art Reliance WebWorld connecting journalists across H y d e r a b a d , Vishakapatnam and Vijaywada was hooked to Mumbai city as well, to f a c i l i t a t e interaction with the company officials.
