situ1962 21 Report post Posted July 22, 2008 (edited) tata has introduced a new plan for post paid customers in orissa. monthly rental Rs 350.00 free talk time Rs 350.00 (can be used in calling all on net and off net nos both local and std) after exhaustion of free TT all local calls will be charged @ 0.50/pm and all std @ 1.50p/m. i think this is a better plan than our zero rental 249 plan as it allows the user to use the free TT in making std calls,whereas in reliance one can make only local calls using the free TT.std calls are charged separately. Reliance is having this plan from last October or November. MY STD 375 total commitment 400. Free local or std any numbers worth 375. Local .50 STD 1.5 Then u can activate 99 STD pack with this So effective monthly commitment becomes 500.( STD pack is worth for those who are having std calls more than 250 minutes).If u r only using STD then u can call 375 minutes of std by just paying the monthly commitment. Local .50 STD 1.0 Without 99 STD pack If u have 250 minutes STD and 250 mins Local u will be charged 250*1.5 + 250*.5 u will be charged 500-375=125 Rupees extra. Monthly commitment 400 + 125 = 525 + taxes WIth 99STD pack if u have 250 Minutes STD and 250 minutes local 250*.99+250*.5= 247.5+125= 372.5 Which is less than the free call limit SO ur monthly commitment in this case would be 500 There is also 249 pack std in which STD will be charged @ 50 paise .With mystd 375 and 249 STD pack u will be charged only 50 paise for std or local call. In this case ur monthly commitment will be 400+249= 649. In that irrespective of STD or Local up to 750 minutes free. I this is best for those who are having STD calls more than 400 minutes . situ1962 21 Report post Posted July 25, 2008 (edited) i do not have to make any std call.so for me the zr 249 plan of reliance is best.for a monthly commitment of Rs249+tax i get Rs 249 worth of free usage to call any local nos.clip is free.also i can send 150 local sms free of cost.
