Samsung Max Sch-f679:pc Studio/drivers Incompatible With Win Vista

Hi,

I am surprised after I purchased this CDMA mobile Samsung MAX SCH-F679. The time when people are using Windows Vista Home/Premium etc, Samsung has provided a PC Studion CD that is compatible only with Win 2K/XP.I have Vista Home and I am not able to use this phone to connect to my Laptop.I hope there are more guys like me who are facing the same problem.As of now I have seen so many support sites to get a solution to this problem.After loosing all hopes I ended up on rimweb.in. Let's discuss if there is a way to get rid of this problem.

My dear friend, try connecting your phone with your laptop using compatibility method.

On the CD, right click the *.exe file, select properties, then select compatibility, then select "Run with compatibility of windows xp". Thats it.

You will be able to use your phone with your laptop which has Vista.

Great!!! It actually worked. I was able to install the PC studio and drivers and was able to access internet using my CDMA Samsung MAX.

Unfortunately it didn't work for me with Sony VAIO, windows vista home premium with same handset samsung max f679. It doesn't simply recognise the handset in the connection wizard. The same version of PC studio is working fine with xp. Can you give me further clue.

Please let me know if any one is using this phone as a modem to connect to internet through data cable on Tata network. Also i wanted to know if this phone can be used with tata and Reliance both or not. I am basically looking for a phone which works on bothethe network and can be used as a modem to connect to internet by laptop/data cable.
