7 blasts rock Bangalore; two killed, 20 wounded

BANGALORE: According to early reports, at least two people have been killed and 20 people wounded in a series of blasts in Bangalore. Seven blasts have been reported so far.

According to Bangalore Police Commissioner, Shanker Bidri, seven blasts rocked Bangalore.

The police have confirmed that low intensity crude bombs were triggered by a timer.

The blasts took place at the Madivala bus stop, Hossur road, Adugudi, Koramangla, Mysore Road and Nayadahalli. The blasts happened within a span of 12 minutes.

Bomb disposal squads have reached the blasts sites.

Schools, colleges, cinema halls and commercial complexes have been shut down.

According to IB sources, SIMI and LeT may be behind the Bangalore blasts and they could be retaliatory in nature.

The injured have been admitted to the St Johns Hospital in Bangalore.
