In latest trick it has decreased talk time from 20.25 to 19.25 on a top up of 25 and from 89 to 85 on a top up of 100. Its the same things Idea did for its STD rates, first decreasing it to 1.30 and then increasing it to 1.50. What an Idea, What a shame! @ksh@T 20 Report post Posted August 5, 2008 that was a trick to increase the customers u wont believe that till last month in my area idea sim with 1 year validity and with 50 minutes Idea to Idea free was available at 15 rs and the most shocking news u wd be getting BSNL SIM free with that . . . with 6 months validity . . . shocking isnt it. . . and in reliance if u wanna get a new prepaid connection . . .GSK , yeh karo woh karo . . after idea has increased a substantial amount of customers that was a but natural U-Turn Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Himanshu Singh 19 Report post Posted August 7, 2008 after increasing the std pack cost from 31 to 34 in delhi, idea has now increased the cost of a few other add on packs which shows their short sightedness and cunning attitude at the same time. the 100 mins idea to idea pack now costs 36 as compared to 30 earlier. similarly the 200 mins idea to idea pack now costs 60 now as compared to 50 earlier. what is next?-should be idea slogan than samsung. Himanshu Singh 19 Report post Posted August 7, 2008 after increasing the std pack cost from 31 to 34 in delhi, idea has now increased the cost of a few other add on packs which shows their short sightedness and cunning attitude at the same time. the 100 mins idea to idea pack now costs 36 as compared to 30 earlier. similarly the 200 mins idea to idea pack now costs 60 now as compared to 50 earlier. what is next?-should be idea slogan than samsung. what this constant chopping and changing does is to rob the customers because these changes are made suddenly and without proper advertisement. customers tend to recharge with the older denomination for special tariff but they would end up getting only topup talk time and not their desired benefit. how ethical is it? for example, if an unaware idea customer wants to get the reduced std tariff of re.1 per min. he would go to the dealer and ask for a 31 recharge but he will only get talk time and not the desired thing. similarly if one gets a 30 or 50 recharge he wont get any free mins but only talktime. all this for no fault of his. g999 1 Report post Posted August 7, 2008 This is STANDARD idea tactic - Using idea ever since launch in maharashtra - it has even withdrawn/modified schemes after offering so this is nothing. - it is the MOST UNRELIABLE operator. raccoon 53 Report post Posted August 8, 2008 (edited) Well, I'v not been with Idea for as long as you ...but for about 1.5 years or so... and they haven't modifyed anything for me. My I-card plan continues as is, with the added advantage that they have reduced the STD rate to Rs. 1.3 from the Rs. 2.5 (approx)! Landline tariff is also Re. 1 now. And they have kept me satisfied in other ways too! Whereas Airtel's equivalent plan - Friendz, continues with the old rates where the tariff for STD and landlines is exhorbitant!! g999, even if you get number portability, which operator are you going to go for?? I dont know if you have tried others... but I'v tried all except Vodaphone and Tata... and I say its definitely not perfect, but its better than all the others... at least in Maharashtra!
