Vodafone Delhi Offers Good Postpaid Plan

Recommended Posts

Vodafone is offering a very good post paid plan through its outlets in Delhi. This plan is not well advertised either on its web site or otherwise. It offers 649 mins of calling to local or STD mobiles for a monthly rent of Rs.499 and also offers 499 sms free. All local calls cost 60 paise while STD calls cost Re.1

Reliance is much better 750 minutes of local and std free and there after all calls @ 50 paise (local and std) + 1000 National SMS free, all these at a monthly rental of just Rs. 710.00

375.00 for Plan My STD 375, 375.00 Rs worth of Calls Free

249 STD Pack All STD @ 50 Paise

060 SMS Pack, 1000 SMS Free

Praveen, I don't think STD calls are allowed free (Upto 750 minutes, that is) in My STD 375R now. What about the old My STD 375? Is it still available? Or is it closed for new subscriptions?

Yes the old one My STD 375 is still available, which makes 750 minutes with the combination of Plan and Pack

If you take Reliance 375 plan with the pack 249 your rental is Rs.624 and you get 750 free mins. Whereas if you take vodafone's 499 plan you get 649 mins for a rent of Rs.499. Which means with reliance you pay Rs.125 more for 101 more free mins.So for a moderate user Vodafone plan might be less expensive as it comes for lesser minimum commitment.

My dear friend, in somebody's usage is moderate, he or she will not go for even 499 plan. My STD 375 itself is sufficient.

Why will a gsm customer take reliance plan? and if someone indeed wants a cdma connection with 50 paisa calling he would be better advised to opt for tata and take the regional pack for std which costs 75 only.also for sms tata is better than rcom anyday.

I think you are taking this discussion to a different zone. The discussion started with the comparision of plan and you are talking it to question and answer mode. The discussion started with All India Plan and suddenly you are bringing the topic of regional pack. Secondly, your question, why will GSM customers take Reliance plan, so my dear friend, the plan cited by me is not only for GSM customers, it is also for first time mobile buyer. Lets have no more discussions, my comments are for general public and rimweb members, not for any particular person or region.

Well this discussion did not start with any comparison. you did it. and even if you talk of all india plans, tata is much better with its plans, sms packs and a host of other value added packs. my post was for the information of those who were using gsm and especially vodafone. i never started by claiming that this is a better plan that some other plan. when you boasted that reliance plan was much better so i responded in my own way. the utility of any plan is dependent on the usage pattern of a customer and it varies from person to person. thats also a reason why i suggested that to avail of 50 paise std calling one can opt from a number of corridor packs like east west north south which costs 75 only. people who make std calls to particular regions wil find tata always better. and finally i made this comparison because you started it.

Sachin,

You are forgetting that in MySTD375, as suggested by Praveen, you will get all India at Re 0.50pm even after 750 minutes, whereas in the Voda plan suggested by you, all calls will be expensive after the 649 minutes at Re 0.60 for local and Re 1 for STD calls.

RCOM is definitely good for voice tariffs and network coverage. I do not know much about Tata, and Voda also is patchy in certain areas.

Anyway, instead of both of you fighting each other, just give the info here and forget the matter. Let the reader decide which is good for them after reading your posts. Both of you are indeed giving good info which is beneficial for all.
