Purchasing A New Phone

Recommended Posts

Hello Everyone,

I am planning to purchase a new phone from Reliance. My budget is between 10K-15K. Can you please suggest a good phone for me? I need mp3, fm, good camera, use as modem for internet using RConnect, bluetooth, browser/email support on phone, ability to transfer data to/from phone to computer etc..

Any response will be appreciated.

Thanks.

Vishal

HTC 3000, slightly high budget, but caters to all your requirements

RCOM is not fit for any high budget phones. You never know when they keep removing all frills, change tariffs without informing customers, etc. My advise is RCOM is fit only for Classic or for sub 2 to 3K LG phones.

Hi Kumar, I understand what you are saying, but I use Reliance for accessing net at home or on the move and this number has been with me for more than 4 years now. hence it is not possible to change my no. Using GSM simultaneously might be an option, but it might not be possible now. Please advise.

What all other said is true, please wait for some time or invest very little on reliance handsets. Infact CDMA handsets. You can choose low cost RUIM enabled handset and go for RUIM enabled data card, use it for surfing as well as for voice.

Thanks kshah for the response. Can you please tell me which is the cheapest phone in Reliance which is RUIM enabled and can be used for browsing too? Some options would be appreciated.

for browsing I will suggest saperate data card with RUIM support. This way you can have better choices in future (Number portability) and also you will spend almost same amount or less than reasonable quality handset in CDMA.

Chepest handset would be Nokia 2865 / LG 6600 (If both available) if you want to go for single handset about 5K.

Vishal, I suggest you go for the top of the line HTC 6800 Mogul imported by Sadik. You wont regret it.
