The Airtel Super Value 499 Plan for postpaid customers is targeted at customers who make high use of local mobile & STD calls, with competitive tariffs on local mobile and STD calls. This plans offers customers 1000 minutes of free calls to any local mobile, every month, after which, calls to any local Airtel mobile are charged at 30 paise per minute, and any local GSM mobile at 40 paise per minute. Calls to local landlines will be charged at Re. 1 per minute, while all STD calls and all incoming calls while on roaming will each be charged at just Re. 1 per minute, while standard rates are applicable for ISD calls. The plan also brings 200 free local SMSes to any GSM mobile every month, after which, each local SMS is charged at 50 paise. Each national SMS is charged at Re. 1/- and each international SMS will be charged at Re. 5/-. To subscribe to the plan, a new customer needs to pay a onetime deposit of Rs. 500 and a onetime activation fee of Rs. 199. The fixed monthly rental would be Rs. 499, with free CLIP facility. Himanshu Singh 19 Report post Posted August 16, 2008 This plan is good only for people having high local usage. I dont think people with high std usage would like to opt for the above plan. Paying 500 for without getting any free std mins is not that lucrative after all. There are better options available in postpaid with reliance and tata.
