tejiboy 0 Report post Posted August 20, 2008 the 'i' letter is what apple tends to take very seriously as always.. i for innovation... yes.. i phone is innovative.. but as a consumer, i would like go for substance than hype, esp if the price is ridiculous. i find n96 to be a complete multimedia device... a far better option than the iphone. 5 mp cam vs. 2 mp on iphone 24 gb expandable memory vs. 16 gb in built memory without any external slot advanced utility tools like adding multimedia content from gallery in your message and send it as a MMS vs. iphone - NO SMS FORWARDING! A2DP support vs. no support on iphone also i have even heard the iphone has some serious network problems in other markets. leave aside plethora of other apps and features available on new S60 F2 platform plus preloaded apps like wave that protects your phone and data. top it all! speculated price of iphone between 31-38 k for both 2g and 3g models (ridiculous, making the whole country cry), while 28-35k. the choice is simple.. even though i was planning to pocket a iphone, now i have to give it some serious thought. what do you say folks, which one to go for? Arun 795 Report post Posted August 20, 2008 If a person is more inclined on the looks and usabiility, iPhone is the way to go. For features and expandability, it does look like N96 is better.

kshah 452 Report post Posted August 21, 2008 Iphone is good stylish phone where as Nokia N96 is more functional. I bought Nokia E71 and believe me I am so happy.(Will write very detailed review in next few days) Also supporting monopolistic product means surrendering. Now I will never support any technology or standards which are monopolistic. (After reliance experience)

vb86 0 Report post Posted August 21, 2008 the one thing i like about the iphone is the new app store. it offers a lot of quality apps that are quite reasonable, some being free. having said that, the n96 and the iphone are 2 completely different products. phones like the omnia and diamond can be compared to the iphone. Sadikk 301 Report post Posted August 21, 2008 And i like Symbian for free and more powerful apps. Ever heard Bar code reader, Remote control, Auto answering machine, auto SMS, fake calls and SMS, call recording, Bluetooth exchange, list goes on and on bro. We dont have to spend penny for these apps. U like one ringtone in ur frinds NOKIA get it through BT, and DOne. U liked same ringtone and want that in ur Iphone, u will ask him to email u the tune, than u have to use lil tweaks on PC, and software just to copy tune ?? Gimme a Break. On iphone u have to use both hands to see picture sliding, on Symbian just shake ur phone and pics get change, tracks get change. I liked SAFARI and Email client in Iphone, but now Opera and Skyfire are catching up with Safari. and email is getting more real time now. Still its a personal choice of some who dont earn, they use Rich dads credit cards.
Puneet 0 Report post Posted August 21, 2008 Apart from the very good interface there is nothing where an iPhone can beat N96 - or for that matter even N96 which is year and half old phone. @tejiboy: Are you the samjack of n95users.com? I see the same post on both the forums - looks like a cut and paste.
Himanshu Singh 19 Report post Posted August 21, 2008 IPHONE is going to be a big failure in India. It lacks basic feaures like sms forwarding, mms, video recording and battery cant be replaced. Plus 3G will take atleast 1 year to come up in India. Plus its network locked and ridiculously high priced.

After using WM3, WM5, PALM and symbia (current) and Iphone for few hours, I think after PALM, Symbian is best open OS. WM is also any day better than MAC OSX as far as user control is concerned. User has max control in WM, then symbian, then palm and then MAC OSX However best user freindlyness is PALM, SYMBIAN, WM and MAC OSX (one hand operation) Number of software wise WM, SYMBIAN, PALM and MAC OSX Browser MAC OSX, SYMBIAN, WM and PALM (palm has not antique browser) And i like Symbian for free and more powerful apps.
