Dhiraj, Can you somehow let me know, how much of a difference does it make - netbook with a 8.9' screen and one with 10'2?? I am seriously planning to buy one. dkaile 1,051 Report post Posted January 18, 2009 None at all according to me; because the screen resolution is the same in both; I have tried the 10.2" Lenovo one and let me tell you the LED Backlit screen of Acer is one the best I have seen for a long long time... ssr 10 Report post Posted January 30, 2009 Acer presents the new Aspire One with a 10-inch form factor Source
dkaile 1,051 Report post Posted January 31, 2009 ^^^^ good news, it also has bluetooth and ram upgradable upto 2gb; but the screen resolution is the same, so I dont think it will make much difference. A better option would have been a 12.1" screen so that the screen resolution would have been better... Maybe that is why Acer is giving the present model for just 15K... a lovely deal as it is... Greatest 55 Report post Posted January 31, 2009 So the 10inch model mentioned above by ss_rakesh is also priced at 15K??
dkaile 1,051 Report post Posted January 31, 2009 (edited) No way, it will be at least 5K extra.... and its not launched in India yet and not even available abroad yet; maybe when they finish off their old stocks... Edited January 31, 2009 by dkaile
ssr 10 Report post Posted January 31, 2009 New models will always cost more. The current generation of intel Atom processor and the chipset is going to be replaced in another 2- 3 months by Intels own new Atom+chipset and also with Nvideas chipsets. So there is more chances of dealers/destributers inflating the prices in the beginning than the Acer.

summary 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2009 There are currently 2 available options for system RAM with the Aspire One netbooks. The first is 512 megs of RAM that comes with the 120Gig hard drive option, The 2nd is the full 1 Gigabyte of RAM that comes with the 160Gig hard drive option. Keep in mind that some of this is shared for video, but it's all DDR 533Mhz RAM, and You can add more to both systems later. Your Choice. Hope this helps.!
