dhoom4boom 0 Report post Posted August 26, 2008 I had purchased 2 handsets of htc p3000 in april 2008 and only after one month the handsets started showing weird problems like following: 1) no missed calls 2) caller calls u on ur phone but u dont recive it on ur phone (my dad shouted at me one day as he kept on calling me but i cudnt recv his call and even showed him later at home that i didnt recv any call from him on my phone call records) 3) there is no call connectivity or difficult connectivity of calls if the battery loses 2 points ( i mean on half battery).. The same calls can be connected easily with the phone fully charged. After getting really fed up i tried searching for a service centre since i bought it on a bill with a year's warranty on the handset...since iam living in vapi (200kms from mumbai) i got the option of sending it for service at mumbai htc service centre...but its been more than 20 days i havent yet got any response from them...my 15500 rs are wasted it seems...i will never buy a htc handset again in my life....poor handset quality, worst service centres, high cost of the handsets.... kshah 452 Report post Posted August 27, 2008 After using CDMA for about 4-5 years, I have reached to conclusion that never ever buy CDMA handsets made for Indian market, except LG. They sell pathatic quality handsets. I have seen HTC 6700 of sprint, verizon and reliance. You can see difference in built. Same applies to Nokia CDMA and even Nokia LOW END GSM. csmart 472 Report post Posted August 30, 2008 (edited) I realy pity on those who purchase reliance HTC models (p3000 and S720) and costs 'million' when you compare features, specs, looks etc. if you read the specs, they are quite old lot. chipset and other specs are very old. even p3000 model by itself seems similar "age old" O2. they provide USB 1 or 1.1 while USB 2.0 is in circulation for more than 3 years or so. as kshah, said u can get good handsets from sadik. other option, Nokia 6275 is the best. my dad is using since it was launched. dont go for any other. low end nokia phones are of no use.
