Looking For A Cdma Set With Scheduler Feature

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I am at present using LG 3000 and planning to change the mobile.

I am looking for a phone with a scheduler feature which can remember annually recurring events (like birthday's etc) as available in Nokia phones.

Spice C810 lacks this feature.

Which is the best alternative phone which also has decent features like FM etc.

Thanks for your time.

Thats strange... I thought all mobiles... even the bare basic ones have a reminder/scheduler function... :confuse:

Even my old LG RD2030 has it!

If LG and Spice dont have it in some of their phones, they should just shut shop and sell peanuts instead... lol!

If you ask me, you should also look for a calendar feature along with reminder/schedulter... its v useful!

Sorry, cant help you with the ph models... but I'm sure other members will...

What he is asking is annually recurring events like in Nokia. This feature is not available in LG models. I suppose he has to go in for NOKIA only for CDMA, but in GSM, even SE has this feature. Not too sure about other brands and models.

Well, he could just change the year, each year... everytime after that event expires. This is what I used to do on my LG RD 2030... as I had used it to remember b'days. Since its yearly, I guess it isn't too frequent and effort...

I just checked my Moto (GSM). It does have an yearly repeat function...

In Nokia, you can set your scheduler to repeat an event either annually, monthly, weekly, daily, hourly etc for as long as you like and the handset will automatically remind you of the event on the setted period. You need not have to reset it manually every hour, day, week, month or year or whatever. This is the feature what Raghavendra is asking in other brands for CDMA.

In short, you need not have to reset a single event if you want it to recur every time it is over.

Got that Kumaar...

Its sad that most CDMA handsets dont seem to even have this basic feature of automatic repetition... most GSM handsets seem to have it...

CDMA is fit for pigs... :Riendo:

I think SPICE D88n has this annual scheduling feature, but not sure as the handset itself is not one year old.

But there is a option for birthday/anniversary reminder in the phoebook.

Hi,

Is treo 755p available in India? Does it work for Reliance CDMA network? If yes where do I get a working piece?

Sadik has imported few treo 755p, you can ask him price and availability. You need to tweak to run it on reliance :Decepcionado:

Nokia has pathetic services for CDMA handsets. Else UI and software is best.

Yes my dear friends, as Kshah also told above, Nokia's service for CDMA handset is really horrible. Once the handset gone to the service centre, then forget to get it back before one month. Nokia's service is really pathetic my dear friends.

In matter of service LG seems to be best. As they offer 2 Hours speed service for all repairs. And if the handset not been repaired instantly then they will provide you a temporary handset for use for 1-2 dyas and in the meantime they repair your handset. LG service rocks.

Regards.
