Also for your info i had spoken to the Spice ASC manager (employed by Spice to oversee all ASC's in the city) who also was not sure about the same since the site itself doesnt feature the Drivers.. So could you pl share the path to get these vista Netconnect drivers.. Totally going by your words i shall suggest my friend tomo to buy one. If possible could you plz upload the Drivers here.. Honest 836 Report post Posted September 5, 2008 ^^^ @Jayanth My dear friend, if the drivers for Vista is not available then also you can use the same in vista. You have do just install the Xp drivers in Vista in compatibility mode of Windows XP SP2. Right click the *.exe file select properties, click "Compatibility", Click "Run this programme in compatibility mode of Windows XP SP2", then select "Run as Administrator". Thats it. You will be able to use Xp drivers in Vista. Simple. Regards.

Im sorry, not a tech guy. 1) Could you plz explain me what is 'compatibility mode of Windows XP SP2'. 2) Any Modem Drivers compatible with XP can be converted to suit Vista? 3) If you remember. there were issues when Data cards couldnt work with Vista. Was this a simpler solution instead of finding & loading software patches? 4) Will this be a long term solution without problems? Thanks,
vikasmahajanz 33 Report post Posted September 6, 2008 My dear Theres no need to run as compatible with vista, The CD with C-810 is fully compatible with vista and Moreover D-88n has the drivers in its memory card. I ll suggest you to Wait for D-88 GOLD if you are going to Buy D-88n.

Was this a simpler solution instead of finding & loading software patches? 4) Will this be a long term solution without problems? My dear Jayanth, in my opinion you would not have any problems in the future if it works once on your system. And regarding explaining the Compatibility Mode, please note that Microsoft already knows that their could be the issue of drivers for many hardwares in Vista, as the Vista drivers for many hardware manufacturers could not be available with immediate effect. Thats why they had given the option to use the earlier windows version's driver to be used in Vista. Not only Windows XP SP2 but also you can use Windows 2000 or even Windows 98 drivers in compatibility mode with Windows Vista. Regarding other data cards issue which couldn't work with Vista, I can't say more but for your mobile handset you can even try some googling and search. Earlier I was using LG Fwp340E which only have Xp drivers and I used the same on my Vista successfully. Many other members of our beloved forum are using the same using the procedure which I explained above. Regards.

ACS 130 Report post Posted September 24, 2008 Ok.. It successfully works with Vista. We need to dowload the Drivers, which strangely runs the Setup as D88 ! Anyways, the dialler needs to be created & you are ready to go. However, the default 'Auto-Disconnect due to inactive state' option of 'Never' - Never works. The phone by default gets dis-connected in 2-3 mins, whether active/inactive. Set it for 5 mins & you can trick the phone. Probabaly this phone has another inherent Chinese manufacturing problem.. Honest 836 Report post Posted September 24, 2008 The phone by default gets dis-connected in 2-3 mins, whether active/inactive. ^^^ My dear Jayanth, I think that your handset goes into dormancy mode after 2-3 minutes. Regards.

Regards. Not really, Normally these Data Card/LL's go into dormancy mode but they don't get dis-connected. As i mentioned earlier, it gets dis-connected after few mins. Whether active or inactive !
