Importing From Usa Directly

Recommended Posts

Has anybody used the service Access USA to import stuff from the US?? If yes, please let me know if matters like import duty, etc are taken care of by that company or will we be burdened with having to pay the import duty additionally when the material is delivered to us in India? How's the quality of service offered? They promise 3rd day delivery in India.

I remember seeing a post from Hetal regarding this service in one of the HTC threads, but no additional info was available.

If someone could throw some light on whether this service offered from the USA is a good one to import stuff from there, I would be most grateful :)

good carriers like DHL, UPS, TNT etc. handle all the formalities. if all docs are proper, like invoice etc. then courier co will clear the parcel and delvier to you. they will give receipt of custom duty, octroi etc.

custom duty is not fix. generaly its 15 or 16% and other levies totalling to nearly 19% and octroi extra.

Anything which is imported through regular courier shud give impression that its for personal use.

Also invoice shud be very accurate and telly.

Also it depends on customs officers mood.

if they find anything commercial they will ready to fill their pockets with money coming under the table.

always keep one CHA mobile number in case ur parcel retained ur CHA can run and rescue u from so many troubles. \

Things which is more than 1K $ should be on companies name cant come personal.

We have so many work around yaar. U just buzz me if u want anything from USA, China, HK, Indonesia and other countries.

:D:D:D

East or West DHL is Best.

I have used FedEx, UPS but DHL is Just Superb.

Always Mark Box for Personal Uses and always avoid Delcaring thing which have High Custom Duty. Once i have Imported a Camera and the Duty was 35 % so i made mistake to Declare it as Sony 10 MegePixel Camre. I can Declare it as Sony A300 DSLR only. Mobile attracts Lowest Duty. u can also Declared Used or Refrbished as Disciption and also Mark Parcel as GIFT but GIFT also always attracted Duty for me.

Smaller Lighter but Costly things only can be affordable using DHL

Importing Laptop can attract Rs. 8000 as Courier Charges so no use Unless you get a Good Deal at Ebay or in Stock Clearance.
