savramesh 37 Report post Posted January 23, 2009 i got a strange network name which i have never seen " TN6NGRCL0002G@2 " TN - Tamilnadu NGRCL - Nagercoil my home network name is Kuzhithurai 1G-1 so i guess this 1G, 2G is not mentioning the generations.. may be some code for the tower... lostjournal 7 Report post Posted January 24, 2009 (edited) yeah right, it looks like Aircel got spectrum to start in Kerala too, so it might be Aircel as well. ok. I am confirming. Today in front of East Fort Big Bazaar (in TVM) I did a manual search on my E71. I got no network code but all names. And Aircel is one of them. Next I went inside the big baazar. There in the m Bazaar counter there was a pamphlet where in one of the offers read - Aircel Life time @ Rs. 99 with 25 TT. I asked the person there - He said it's not launched yet and the pamphlet was printed in Bangalore. So expect Aircel's launch in a week or two. Rest all operators - had their name listed on my cell. It included - Aircel and Reliance. Can anyone solve this new mystery - IND 02 ( Shyam or may be Tata)? IND02 ca,'t be shyam(because it's CDMA) also can't be TATA GSM, cause they will start service from NORTH region first that too after june. In Delhi, only Reliance GSM, Aircel and Swan managed to get 2G spectrum. While swan has not started rolling its network. Its either Aircel or some operator testing 3G.
