well for net settings u can read this post ....... also PLZ READ the other thread on treo 755 it has discussions about the net connect settings and all the softwares u need

First check whether you have created a new connection by the name of Rel Netconnect. Go to Preferences-Network-Services. If it is there, select it, if not create it. To create Click Menu Button (Lowest in Right Corner) and select New-It will show untitled-give it the name RelNetConnect- Connection should be High Speed Wireless, Username and Password will be your 10 digit Reliance Phone no., Untick Mobile IP Tab in Details. In Advanced IP Address should be Automatic (Ticked), Query DNS should be Ticked. You should be able to connect to Internet by selecting and making this your default connection.

You may also create a similar RelMobile World connection where the username will be "UTS@relianceinfo.com", password-"i4gE7DW"

If for some reasons you are still not able to do so, then we will have to check your service programing data-

Dial ##data# (##3282#) and u will come on data main screen. You will have to click modify and enter your SPC (u should have changed it to 000000 otherwise enter your correct spc) and u will have to change the parameters. After unlocking, enter username - (anything u like-preferably your name without spaces), then enter password (anything), HA password (anything), ensure IP address is automatic (ticked),. Then go to next menu by pressing the Menu Button (Lowest in Right Corner), the go to Browser - enter one "0" in port in both Pri NGG and Sec NGG, then go to Advance, Unlock, then enter as follows: Vocoder EVRC:1, Home NID:65535, Home SID: 14655, MCC: 404, MNC: 0, ACCOLC: (should be last digit of your MIN), Home Sys Reg:1, FNID:1, FSID:1 - Click OK. After loading Reboot once again.

Ya this worked, user name and password only reliance ph no with out zero

Hi,

Can anyone help me with Data settings for TATA for Treo 800W. I have tried with creatig new connection under Start > Settings > connections > Add new Modem connections and setting username/password as internet. But it doesnot connect saying wrong username/Password. Pl help

have u have just overwirten IotaApp.exe with 0 size file?

Use Group SMS the best of the LOT.... the Only prob I have faced with It is that when ur sending to ppl if u get a msg back @ the same time the Ph will Hang... u need to restart it..... but by far its the best.

Yes i have replaced the IotaApp.exe with 0 bytes file. Also deleted the default Sprint connections under connections.

there are more setting to be done after that, you have just crossed first step to activate Internet (#777)

i doubt simple replacing iota file with 0b file will do any good

i hope tata as of now hasnt disabled non proxy connections like reliance

do the following to get data on your treo 800w

1) dial ##786# and do a reset

2) put ur phone in diag mode by ##3424# connect to pc with usb cable and install beezlewaxins treo drivers

3) download cdma workshop demo version 3.4.1 or try with cracked 2.7

use the iota bypass txt file and go to memory tab and load it in nv items

4) go to qpst and in mip tab change ip behaviuor to simple ip

and in ppp tab in UM/AN write ur uername and password

5) put a blank iota.exe file 0bytes

radio reset

if u have to enable proxy settings u will have to do more than this

Thanks for the detailed steps. However i could only manage steps # 1 & 2. I tried downloading cdma workshop 3.4.5, but it says that COM7(where my phone is connected) is not available in demo version. So next i will search net for v2.7. Also in the Memory Tab, how do i use your "800W_IOTA_Bypass.txt" file? . In 'NV-Items' there is option only to read and write from phone, no option to load from file?

OK I managed to set the COM port to 1. When i do a Write under NV Items in Memory TAB of CDMA Workshop it says that

" You must send current SPC to phone before write NV items"

I Do OK, it then gives Open file dialog box, I select the 800W_IOTA_Bypass.txt file and click OK, then it gives below error ,

"d:\..\..800W_IOTA_Bypass.txt" is not a valid NV Items backupfile.

Pl Guide further.

Thanks to mufaddal_km, i am able to get Data on my 800W after following all the steps as listed above.

Need further help with GPS. Google maps works with WIFI, but does not work with Data connection(not able to get my current location). Has aanybody tried GPS on 800w and which is the recommended software for the same?

also try gps apps for windows mobile smartphone
