Motorola Aura for the Nouveau Riche

It's got the works

Motorola has also jumped into the luxury handset market with the launch of it's Aura mobile phone. The handset competes with the Nokia's Arte series and Vertu phones.

Design wise the Motorola Aura looks similar to the Motorola V70 but is clearly for the uber rich, with its unique circular display made up of scratch-resistant Grade 1 62-carat sapphire crystal and the body comes with chemically etched textures and patterns over stainless steel housing. The gears that help the front panel to rotate are coated with Tungsten Carbide. Motorola claims that the Swiss made 130 precision ball bearings and rotating mechanism will offer consistent rotation ease in long run as well.

On the technology part -- the phone supports quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE and features 2 megapixel camera, 2GB internal memory, Bluetooth and aluminum keypad.

The phone will be available from December at fat price of $2000 approximately. Willing to say - Hello Moto?
