Live Life In Color, For Less

Recommended Posts

Quick on the heels of a massive tariff reduction in the prepaid segment, Reliance Infocomm on August 18, 2004 launched a feature-rich color handset at just Rs 4999. The new LG 5130 launched by the Company has unique features such as a speakerphone and Hindi interface to facilitate SMS in the national language. This is the only color handset available in the Indian market at such an affordable price point, and is available both to prepaid and postpaid RIM subscribers.

LG 5130 is the first Color Bar type CDMA handset coming from LG Electronics of South Korea. Apart from a speaker phone, the handset has 22 polyphonic selectable ring tones (including twelve Indian and three downloadable ringtones) to choose from, with 16-chord polyphonic sound; facility to assign specific ring tones to individual numbers stored in the phone book; In-call-memo, which allows the user to store up to five numbers at a time while on a call; and profiles that let the user set the phone's sound settings (Ring type, Ring tone, Ringer volume, Earpiece volume, Message alert and Key volume) to one's current environment. The  aggressive price is sure to attract the student community who are looking for the best of features, as well as data multimedia applications.

“This is an extension of the 'Freedom Offer' that aims to bring about delight to our valued customers. It has data as well as multimedia capabilities, thus taking the mobile revolution a step forward,” said S P Shukla, President, Products and Services Reliance Infocomm, announcing the launch of the dream product.
