dkaile 1,051 Report post Posted September 5, 2008 (edited) OK Mates, so I have compiled a list of My Favorite Treo Softwares (most of them freeware but very powerful) See attached zip file These include: 1.Butler (best for upto 6 alarms/mp3, custom designed, control led, Keyguards and many more) 2.Phone Technician (Increase phone volume, and many more) 3.Minitones (to set mp3 as ringtones and trim them also) 4.SharkMsg (to automatically send text message on missed calls/call reject) 5.audiogateway (for listening to music on A2DP Stereo Bluetooth Headphones) 6.Resco Explorer 7.Group Text Messaging 8. nvbackup (best backup software I have seen, backups everything, messages, calls, contacts, programs, ringtones, and then u can selectively restore also, automatic backups) 9.Treo Messenger 10. Palm Messenger 11. keygen 12.xiino (browser-not very good also) 13. Call Recorder (To record In call conversations) 14.Snap (To take Screen Snapshots) 15. Easynotes (Combining All 3 - Text, Pen (Hand written) and Voice notes) I am very happy with the performance till now, except for the net browsing which is weak (because I have gotten used to Opera Mobile) http://rapidshare.com/files/142799101/My_F...o_Softwares.zip Edited September 5, 2008 by dkaile

situ1962 21 Report post Posted September 5, 2008 Is opera mobile not supported by palm treo 755p?
dkaile 1,051 Report post Posted September 5, 2008 (edited) Yes it is supported, but you have to install websphere java along with it. Tried but have to learn settings to allocate memory properly to make opera run smoothly. Will discuss with kshah and get around to it... @kshah If u could kindly give a brief tutorial about which java files to install (because there are so many prc's in the websphere java that I downloaded, just give me name of essential prc files to install), and then how to increase memory in java to make opera run smoothly... dkaile 1,051 Report post Posted September 5, 2008 Updated- Easynotes - Combining All 3 - Text, Pen (Hand written) and Voice notes; attached in the previous rapidshare download
dkaile 1,051 Report post Posted September 5, 2008 (edited) Here is the rapidshare link to the msi installer file of Sprint Connection Manager. Use it to install Drivers for your Palm, dont use SCM because it is for EVDO connection. Once u can see your phone as modem in Control Panel-Modems, create a new connection shortcut on your desktop with that modem, #777, and your reliance no. as un and pw. http://rapidshare.com/files/194116066/Sprint_PCS_CM_v034.msi Also here is the New Palm 755p Support Page: http://kb.palm.com/SRVS/NUA/launchTab.asp?...p&cn=sprint Edited February 5, 2009 by dkaile
NagpurDaMunda 2 Report post Posted September 5, 2008 i cudnt find FM radio in it ....... i found this as its major set back..
dkaile 1,051 Report post Posted September 5, 2008 No Smartphone true to its grain, would have a FM radio. When u have internet radio etc. Even iphone and Nokia N96 dont have FM radio. They are 2 very different markets. FM is low end phone feature. FM on phone is a relatively Indian phenomenon. Hope they realise this and introduce... But I never missed it, when u have so much entertainment in other forms, at your finger tips....
drmadhu 87 Report post Posted September 5, 2008 @Dhiraj What is the phonebook capicity in treo how many number we can store in each contacts
dkaile 1,051 Report post Posted September 5, 2008 ^^^^^ Unlimited, same like Mogul. Also I am seamlessly syncing my data with Outlook - Contacts,Tasks, Calendar. Also NVbackup here takes backup of even your installed programs, messages, calls etc.. So in the event of a hard reset u dont have to install your programs again. Seeing is believing - it is so easy to install or uninstall programs - at the click of a button. Also the program files are so small, in kb's only - but with full functionality - The whole Palm System is basically Tailor made for Phones. Now I am waiting for Treo Pro but with Palm OS and not WM (as it is currently available)....
dkaile 1,051 Report post Posted September 5, 2008 (edited) Updated- attached MyCallLog.prc to even know the duration of each call (like in WM6.1) - a feature which was removed in the newer versions like our Treo 755p but was there in older Treo's (so that Companies can do dhandhlebaji like our Reliance) pls remove .zip from the attached file by renaming it... dont unzip it Secondly, I am also loading our old favorite tcpmp video player but this one is for Palm and it is a zip file - so extract it... mycalllog.prc.zip tcpmp.zip Edited September 5, 2008 by dkaile

kshah 452 Report post Posted September 8, 2008 AFAI remember its main installer was 4-5 MB and other language files and probably help files were there. Download from here http://mytreo.net/downloads/godownload-1313-1.html install following \jvm\arm4t\j9javavmmidp20.prc (Main file) \jvm\arm4t\j9pref.prc (Creates Pref entry)
dkaile 1,051 Report post Posted September 8, 2008 I had downloaded the files and the ones I got were- Websphere Everyplace Micro Environment v5.7: Java Technology for Palm OS Garnet - j9javammidp20.prc 1654KB - I could not find any j9pref.prc (supposed to be 7KB), instead there was PIMop.prc and PIMpref.prc Maybe the files sent by Dj are allright (because their file size is right according to IBM manual. Only thing is he also must not have done memory allocation, for which we need kshah's guidance.
kshah 452 Report post Posted September 8, 2008 In preference Set the "Memory maximum" to 4mb you'll set this to either 8MB or 32MB later. Set the Maximum Java Thread Stack size to 32KB. Your opera will work better, not perfect.

dkaile 1,051 Report post Posted September 8, 2008 (edited) OK so I downloaded from kshah's link. It was 5.7.2 ver. (my earlier one was 5.7.1) and the j9pref.prc was present in this download. Now we need to install only these 2 files as u have stated above, right Kalpak? and nothing else? because there are a plethora of files in that download.
