I think the problem was probably caused as the latest version of phone technician clashed with "nexave" application( ipod style keyguard lock).... the new version of phone technician converts mp3 into "magic tones" so that one can assign it to individual contacts.... I have done it on one of my Treos from 1.04 to 1.07....Just follow instructions as it is from Palm website..... As for settings and backup u can use NV backup to backup all your data and programs and messages etc... and restore once updated or everything will be back once restored. Does anyone have the Solution to butler 4.71 ? Download from my rapidshare link in this topic itseld for ver 4.57 works perfectly.... if u want 4.71, I think the solution for 4.57 will work with 4.71 also, which is already there in my rapidshare link... dkaile 1,051 Report post Posted October 15, 2008 ^^^^ - It should not take more than 5 minutes to totally sync all data and contacts. u must be doing something wrong... best first copy all your data to outlook after creating a profile in outlook, then sync that outlook profile to your palm by ionstalling palm desktop and palm hot sync from cd enclosed. - Best way to download music and games is to copy them to your mini sd card eith by hot sync or directly by card reader. - Of course u need a email account to access email. Make the email settings in versa mail or even better download and use snappermail (links given in this topic) Use Hathway?? for what?? coudnt get u?? - set ringer volume and tones from Prefs (preferences). Use a program like Minitones to copy your favorite mp3 tones and set them as your ring tones. Use Butler to set mp3 as Alarm Tones. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

ARE THERE SOME SETTINGS TO BE DONE?? es u can install applicatons in yoyr phone memory and certain applications will require u to install n ur phone memory well ur phone interface is divided into several pages like mian\all\utilities\multimedia\system\card u can put your applications in any of these pages by pressing the menu key> category and if u want to put ur applications into a folder u can use an application called tealscan ...u will find it in the thread but for that u will require memory card well u wont b requiring the applications u mentioned except for ringo but u wont b able to delte some but i think u can use tealscan u remove the lock on those applications and delete them Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Thoda to hath pair maro yaar... Read this topic page by page from the top and u will get solutions to half ur problems... In palm we use prc file and not rar/zip files to install programs. These may be copied by you in the Palm folder in your memory card or directly to main memory through HotSync. prc files are available by the thousands on dozens of websites and all the crucial ones are already posted in this topic. All the programs you mentioned are useless except ringo, and u may hide them if u need, search http://mytreo.net/forum/index.php?board=62.0 for more info on the same. Mufaddal 678 Report post Posted October 15, 2008 in order to set up ur intenet connection its very simple....go through the thread there have been a entire procedure posted ......if u still have trouble following it let us know yup here r the settings for gmail...mind u its "push" as in it supports imap idle You need to configure Gmail to allow IMAP. Within Gmail on the computer screen, click on “Settings” then the “Forwarding and POP / IMAP” tab. Then click on “Enable IMAP”. (NOTE: if you don’t see this yet, then try logging out and then into your Gmail account. Sometimes this will do the trick. If you still don’t see this, then wait a bit longer …) Within Chatter on your Treo, pull down the top menu and select “New Account” In the “Quick Setup” window, under “Choose the account type …” drop-down menu, select “Generic IMAP Account” You’ll be taken to “Account Definition.” Under the “Define” tab, fill in the following. Name: (type in a nickname for this account); IMAP Server: (type “imap.gmail.com”); Login Name: (type your email address including the “@” — i.e., “name@gmail.com”. If you have a Google App account, use the account domain name and email — i.e., “name@othername.com”); Password: (type your Gmail password) Under the “Deliver” tab, make sure the following boxes are checked: “Sync Messages”, “Keep Flags Synced”, and “Use SSL”. Everything else is up to you. Under the “Other” tab, the settings are up to you. Under the “SMTP” tab, and after saying yes to “Do you want to create a SMTP profile?”, set the following: Server: (type “smtp.google.com”); Login Name (make sure your gmail email address is spelled correctly here); Password (type your gmail password); Return Address (same as your gmail email address); Full Name (type whatever full name you want here). MAKE SURE there is a check next to “SSL”. Click on OK. Chatter should now connect to Gmail — and you will now be able to receive and send emails via your Gmail account. First check whether you have created a new connection by the name of Rel Netconnect. Go to Preferences-Network-Services. If it is there, select it, if not create it. To create Click Menu Button (Lowest in Right Corner) and select New-It will show untitled-give it the name RelNetConnect- Connection should be High Speed Wireless, Username and Password will be your 10 digit Reliance Phone no., Untick Mobile IP Tab in Details. In Advanced IP Address should be Automatic (Ticked), Query DNS should be Ticked. You should be able to connect to Internet by selecting and making this your default connection. You may also create a similar RelMobile World connection where the username will be "UTS@relianceinfo.com", password-"i4gE7DW" If for some reasons you are still not able to do so, then we will have to check your service programing data- Dial ##data# (##3282#) and u will come on data main screen. You will have to click modify and enter your SPC (u should have changed it to 000000 otherwise enter your correct spc) and u will have to change the parameters. After unlocking, enter username - (anything u like-preferably your name without spaces), then enter password (anything), HA password (anything), ensure IP address is automatic (ticked),. Then go to next menu by pressing the Menu Button (Lowest in Right Corner), the go to Browser - enter one "0" in port in both Pri NGG and Sec NGG, then go to Advance, Unlock, then enter as follows: Vocoder EVRC:1, Home NID:65535, Home SID: 14655, MCC: 404, MNC: 0, ACCOLC: (should be last digit of your MIN), Home Sys Reg:1, FNID:1, FSID:1 - Click OK. After loading Reboot once again. You should be able to connect to internet. Remember, any further queries post in Treo 755p topic ONLY and give reference of this post... You must reconfigure your internet settings as posted above... First crosscheck and complete the lower half settings and then proceed to complete the top half settings... This is inherent problem, after connecting once and trying to connect again it gives error. If connection itself is not created, read this topic from beginning and a post (post no. 68) has been given how to create connections. This will definitely solve your problems. My documents to go installed absolutely perfectly. I cant understand what u have done. Do remember that net browsing is slightly weak on this phone, which I have repeatedly mentioned. Dhiraj / kshah / sadik im upgrading ull from bhai to SIR.... Heads off to the work you guys do nd masters of Mob world id say.... Thnx a lot... can i know how do i set up for Internet connection on Palm 755p... it doesnt connect... nor gets mails from Gmail... salute to u to make our life and money worth every bit....
