kshah 452 Report post Posted November 13, 2008 hey guys ...today i got little frustrated with the palm yaar .Its getting connected and disconnected by its own . if u know mumbai i stay in borivali where phone works and if i go to dadar it gets disconnected again when i come back it starts working... from last few days i am having so many such issues ... anyone using treo for TATA in mumbai ? R we getting the new PRL for the tata ? kshah and all ppl plz help ... thanks Is it problem with treo only or phones given by tata too? I think this could be problem with even tata supplied phones. Harshal 11 Report post Posted November 13, 2008 I am facing this peculiar problem on my Treo every once in a while. Soemtimes, it just does not let me disconnect. It does not matter if I press the Red button or Hang up on screen. It just does not disconnect. Once, I had to remove the battery to stop it. My gut feeling is it is CallRec. kshah 452 Report post Posted November 13, 2008 Callrec do not causes such problem I have used it for year without problem. In PPC, Treo and even in Nokia E71, if you are dialing out and receive incoming all (if timings are precise) then your phone is likely to get hanged for atleast 20-30 seconds, can neither reject phone nor accept phone. Mufaddal 678 Report post Posted November 13, 2008 @harshal and kshah ihave been using call recorder ....now one thing is that when i set it to record calls automatically thsi is what happens i get a call the recording starts now when i finish talking and i hang up there is a certian lag the phone takes times first the call rec stops then the phone goes to home screen .....i have attributed this problem mainly to call rec....as it only happens when call rec is used now what i have done is i have set a short cut key for callrec ...and have disable auto recording ....now when i m in a call n i wish to record i just press the side key the call rec starts ....then before hanging up i press the side key agin so the call rec stops ( again there is some lag between u pressing the side button and the call rec stopping but its ok) ......then i hang up the call without any delay or anything ...... this was the very first application that i had installed n it was behaving like that since beginig .....i thnk becoz of lack of multithreading it takes time for the os to refresh the ram when u use both the call feature and the call rec .... Today, I just pressed the Hang up on screen and kept the phone down assuming the call ended. I checked after 20 mins and the call was still going on. So I think there is an issue. Not sure what though. Muffadal's suggestion seems alrite, coz there is no need to record all calls anyways. I'll give that a try. How did you setup the one key record on / off? I checked after 20 mins and the call was still going on just disabe call rec app and see.....if u r not experiecing that probem then its probabaly due to call rec .....or esle some other issue .....also check whether u have installed any third party in phone memory... chintan1 6 Report post Posted November 13, 2008 @gary bro who have confugured your phone /whom did u get it from ......did u see the screen shots i posted .... @akalmand i have snced my palm with outlook 2007 n it works fine no probs but if u have troubles then u can use AGENDUS . download it from <a href="http://"http://www.iambic.com/support/download.asp?pid=%7BDE98223F-8C8B-4576-BCDA-8020F6D223FD%7D"" target="_blank">HERE</a> it wil give u a demo code and a demo copy and then register with the solution .... attaching the same ......also as far as multitasking goes it has been discussed here lot of times traditionally palm lacks multitasking/mutithreading........if u go from one application to another the previous aplication wil close by default.......however ptunes/mail/ work in the background.......but with certain third parties u can get some basic multithreading.......read the previuos few pages i have posted some applications regarding the same @chetan udmh is unlimited dynamic memoryhack ..........it simply extends your heap memory so u can run those high memory ( more than 3/4mb) demanding games and applications Hi Dr , Where we need to install UDMH in memory card or Internal memory .........???
