well guys got an application for those of u who want to define profiles like in nokia phones

MRING

Make your phone alive with MP3 ringtones and pictures,

With mRing you can assign MP3, MIDI, WAV ringtones and pictures to phone book contacts or contact categories, separate phone call and SMS ringtones, define profiles (silent, VIP etc.), schedule profiles (daily, weekly) and easily ignore incoming call with SMS.

mRing comes with an integrated profile manager. You can define multiple volume and vibration profiles and easily activate them depending on your circumstance. For example, you can have Loud profile if you are in the noisy environment, Discreet profile while you are on the meeting, or Silent profile when you don't want to be disturbed. Also, you can easily switch between profiles using the side button.

i am using a 2 gb mini sd card....what is confusing is y it works sometimes and then suddenly stops and does not detect again

when i try to access my rediffmail a/c it says server name incorrect...i use exactly the same settings on my outlook and they perfectly ok....

as of now i m stuck with using this phone for just making and receiving calls and sms..my purpose of accessing mails on the go and working with office files remains unfulfilled....

even i have read about people having problmes but in most of the cases there wasa problme with card itself not with the device......as all of us have been using this device with crads more than 2gb....none had problmes...infact those who had prolems with the card not been identified had problem with card itself .....so i advise u to check the card in some other device

i also mentioned that if u have installed anything on it just format ur card

since your incoming and outgoing server addresses are proper i think the problem lies with incorrect port numbers......just go to email accounts/edit ur a/c.....go to advance settings....check the port numbers there....try putting 465 in the server port number ....if can help u ....also try unchecking ssl and see

then google to find the respective port numbers .......or else ask someone on the forum using rediffmail on their treo ( most of people r using gmail ,it works flawlessly with versamail) ....

i connect to the internet on my TATA using the proxy server setting....can that b the reason for versamail not being able to access my rediffmail account...which basically means that its a port issue as u said

Never had a card problem ever on the 2 Treo's I own.... maybe people are using inferior quality cards or using micro cards with adapters... though they work but they may give u erratic performance.... I always suggest to use good quality cards with lifetime warranty and use only mini sd cards without adaptor and upto 4gb only... You should then not have card problem....

Also this mail and other problems are being faced by Tata customers only.... no such problem at all with any of my Reliance connections... works smooth as silk... some settings problems maybe with Tata....

Yes, proxies can have problem as tata might be giving access to ports for browsing only not for mail ports.

@shahab

well then as i said its due to conflict with ports .....i guess its ur isp provider due to which u r getting this trouble......by default in versamail the incoming server port is 110 and outgoing port is 25 .....this the common settings used......also in all these settings u r using versamails outgoing servers......and itis clearly stated in the setup guide that if u isp provider doenst support third party servers for email then u should enter the server address/ports used by ur isp provider .....

also ur card problem is very weird .....even i have never encountered such problem in any of my device....
