mauk 0 Report post Posted December 30, 2008 @dkaile & @mufaddal_km, thank you for the reply to my queries. 1. I have successfully updated the ROM to 1.07. 2. Now am able to connect to the internet. [earlier i did not untick the mobile IP ] 3. I'm using Palm Desktop and Hot Sync for synchronizing. I have place the files required for PRL updation on the Palm Quick Install and HotSynced the Treo. As per the logs the files have been copied on to treo. i will have to figure out where they have been copied to on the treo. 4. I'm unable to sync the contacts on 6265 on to my PC using bluetooth. Might be i have to try with a data cable. 5. I could not find the NV Backup file to change the name. Could you help me to locate the same on the device/pc? Thanks for your patience. Uday. After copying it, you have to run the file as mentioned in the original post where the files were attached. If you can't see the CDMA Updater icon check if you have "All" apps category selected at the top as it may not be visible in the "Main" apps category/page. (also the cdmaupdater in the 700P_tools is the one with the old prl, download the new one separately) @mauk - use usb cable to connect 6265 to pc as bluesolil BT adapter is one of the worst I have seen; even I have one which I have dumped - to see nvbackup file u will need resco explorer (attached in the aforesaid document) - copy the prl files by palm quick install only to main memory and not to memory card. they will be visible only by resco explorer, but you will be able to see them under "All" under application as CDMA Up... rest procedure is already given. - try to change name at your own risk only after reading the attached document to first make the nvbackup file and then editing it by hex editor and then restoring it... I have just checked and my PRL version is 2. I was using 6265 before Treo. I want to get 6265 activated for another number. Tried with your attached file also but NO Go. Have tried innumerable times earlier also but it always connects with 1.54 and never with 1.55. Gives error 773 which as per the pdareach site can be solved by trying 1.55 & 1.54 as different models will connect with either of these. We need something like: Handsets> CDMA Handsets> Palm> Palm Treo 755p> And then 'automated' sub-topics/categories like 1) Features> 2) ESN Activation process> 3) PRL Upgrade> 4) Issues with Roaming etc. ..Whatever sub-topics suitable.. as im no tech guy. Dear Arun/Mods, Due to the absence of such an index, there are multiple threads with different Topic names that confuse all members. As we are aware, a lot of members, myself included sometimes cannot find certain answers even on Google search no matter how Great it claims to be. This indexing is a very simple solution where default Topics are created within Main Topics by Admins/Mods & still if other ppl with specific queries cannot find it, they then have their new Topics posted. Requesting your intervention in general for all categories. Initially we might have to simply follow 'Drag & Drop Topics' to respective Main Topics which might sound impractical for our Forum but proper filing is the need of the day.
