I have got Treo 755P and checked PRL version using ##786# and it shows Prl version : 9 Prl checksum : 0xf174 I am unable to catch network of tata indicom on my phone........ Tata guys are saying that since i m in J&K, i must have PRL version 1. Wat 2 do guys???????????? PL help.............m Stuck............ Any ideas wat needs 2 be done?????? lover_boy 2 Report post Posted June 24, 2009 (edited) make sure u have set it to retrieve to ur inbox and not some other folder ... i tranfer all messages from my yahoo and hotmail account to inbox but when i try to get them after 2-3 messages it lost the connection and show some error one more thing that i am still facing problem to connect internet on my pc thru treo any solution? aviator 3 Report post Posted June 26, 2009 I am having a strange issue with Treo 755P while using it with my Tata postpaid.......Earlier,treo was constantly searching for network when i was in my home circle (J&K). I enetered MIN no. provided by tata in the handset and the ESN of my postapaid was swapped but it didn't helped. Went to tata guys but they, too, couldn't help stating that they don't have drivers for PALM. They told me that prl version 1 is used in J&K as against Version 9 in rest of india. The final solution they gave me was to go to any other state, dial *228, then come back to home state and dial *228 on the border of the two states. I went to punjab yesterday and did the same. In punjab (Roaming circle for me),i was able to make calls even before dialing *228. I finally dialed *228 in punjab and the MDN, Prl was downloaded to my phone. While, on my way back home, i dialed *228 at the border and the programming was shown as succesful. I checked prl version and it was shown as 1. Finally, Treo catched Tata's network. Now, i am able to dial only 2 nos. - 111 and *228 from J&K. While dialing any other no., the call disconnects on its own (in approx. 1 sec after dialing). Checked the advanced ##data# setting and found : EVRC :1 Home NID :0 Home SID :0 MMC : 209 MNC :99 ACCOLC :6 Home sys reg : 1 FNID :1 FSID :1 I called up tata CC and they told me that in their system, my phone is being shown in punjab and not in J&K (My home circle) Anybody has any idea wat the issue is. Tried changing sid and nid but still the call is not connecting. Its strange that my phone is being shown in punjab while i am actually in jammu and kashmir. ami1 237 Report post Posted June 30, 2009 Have downgraded to 1.07 (from 1.08). Lets see if the problems go away. After using 1.07 for a week I've found that this is even more problematic than 1.08. I am getting missed call SMS's 3-4 times a day and many times when i try calling the phone from other cells/landlines it gives number is unreachable. This used to happen only 1-2 times a week with 1.08. If I make a call from the treo or reset the radio then it becomes reachable again for some hours or so. Completely unusable in this stage as everyone keeps telling me that my phone is not reachable or switched off etc. So I am going to put back 1.08 again. However, I have not upgraded the PRL yet to the Reliance roaming/intl PRL (posted by Sadik) which I was using earlier. (For some reason PRL reverts to old one every time i change the rom image between 1.07 and 1.08 etc.) Have a query for anyone who might know (muffadal ?) Does the PRL version matter with respect to this cell becoming unreachable problem ? I don't know the technical details, but it is my GUT FEEL that this issue has only started after I put in the Reliance roaming/Intl PRL (posted by Sadik) ? Mufaddal 678 Report post Posted July 2, 2009 yeah prl does have some role to play in this thats coz even i had experinced that on my mogul on my mogul i had an issue of my phone hanging and also when people use to call they cud hear phone ringing but my phone never used to ring ...and i use to reset to get phone working again ...then i changed prl to reliance international roaming prl and the problem was solved for me.... @amione bro try to load reliance international prl and see if problem comes Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I have completed the first step of taking backup by running cdmaupdater. But am unsure on how to use the hex editor. I am using XVI32 editor. What do I need to seach and what do I need to replace? Mufaddal 678 Report post Posted July 4, 2009 just send me ur nv back up ..i will do hex editing for u also do u have ur spc ??? after modifying nv backup u need to do nv erase to do that simply install treo 650 bootloader driver then put ur phone in bootloader mode ( ##8878# ) then connect ur phone to ur desktop ( make sure u have closed hot sync ) and then go to start menu ---> prgramms ----> treo 650 bootloader ---> vaildate driver and device press refresh and u shud see ur device connected ( if it shows no device the redo all steps again and make sure ur hotsync is not running ) now open mtty.exe u will see usb option and then follow commands as per the guide Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Since my earlier handset was spoilt, really needed this going and the phone suport provided by him was fabulous. Dude... at times USB cable acts funny.. ie. i get the msg on comp that the same is not recognised... is this a general issue or something needs to be done?? Mufaddal 678 Report post Posted July 10, 2009 ^^^ by default sprint phones dont have spc as 000000 sprint spc is a six digit code to find spc its simple use cdma firmware updater go to debug ...and choose nv backup option uncheck all other options let it take nv backup then using a file explorer like resco go to ram 0 IN RAM 0 u will have nvbackup move it to ur memory card and then take it to ur desktop then use a hex editor like winhex open nv bakup file and go to specialist tab and select gather text and search for text with 6 consecutive characters it will generate a txt file with 1 to 2 6 digit codes , one will be ur spc to check if its ur spc dial ##spc# if it takes u to programming menu its ur spc to make ur spc as zero use hex editor again go to search tab , in that there will be an option of replace text type in spc and replace it with 000000 ( remeber spc is text string and not hex string) if still have problems then send me ur nvbackup file Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
