BPL Mobile launched 'Mumbai Search @cafe', a local search for its subscribers in Mumbai. This service is available on a USSD as well as the SMS platform. When dialing a query, you are charged Rs. 3 per response. For search via SMS, users can send their query directly to 54000 and will be charged Rs. 3 per SMS. Follow these steps to search on a BPL Mobile Service powered handset: Call *111# to begin the 'Mumbai Search' process. When the menu flashes on the screen, press 1 for 'Mumbai Search'. Enter the keywords in the search tab, with the prefix '1'. You'll receive an SMS giving the search result. The search helps you to look up places and services located anywhere in Mumbai. BPL Mobile's search service will compete with Reliance Communications' recently launched Quick Search service available through Reliance Mobile World at Rs. 3 per search.
