Possible Screenshots Of Windows Mobile 6.5 Emerge!

Recommended Posts

According to reports, Microsoft has confirmed that Windows Mobile 6.1 is going to be passé as WinMob 6.5 is soon to be making the scene before the much awaited version 7.

According to the images posted, these could very well be just concepts of the UI as they have not been authenticated or confirmed as official yet. It would seem that the new Windows Mobile OS could change the outlook of Windows Mobile handsets. The OS as a whole was due for a revamping and I personally will welcome it.

I have also read about this somewhere.whether this new version overcomes the sluggishness of wm remains to be seen.also awaited eagerly is the pocket IE 6,which was to debut along with wm 6.1,but somehow got delayed.

But what about speed? WM is soooo slow, are they going to take care of speed?

Looks like the new interface could have taken inspiration from Touchflo and iPhone UI, in that case the speed will suffer more - since these are more graphics oriented.

Take W. Vista for ex., just to enable the semi-transparent background and the cool window switching technique a la "Aero", the recommended HW requirements went very high - at 2 GB and 1.6 ghz my laptop sometimes struggles to cope when multiple programs are open.

well i think they r mush inspired by iphone success as the version 6.5 is going to get a mojor update of browser as well......along with gesture controls.......well nothing has been mentioned about speed by any of the beta tester .....but i think the general lag will b there ....i think v should expect a speedy windows mobile only with version 7 as for version 6.5 it just brings some very much needed updates windows mobile running phones need to compete with android and mac os x
