Saurav 22 Report post Posted August 28, 2004 You all will be aware of the fact that GTran handset is not covered by insurance. No matter you have upgraded from B/W, in Postpaid or in prepaid handset is not covered by Insurance. GTran has got no authorized service station in India. Reliance WW’s are authorized to provide service to GTran. For the warranty period its fine but after that even for small repairs Reliance will charge hefty amounts. So in my view it will be beneficial to get the handset insured on our own or ask the Reliance to do so. Regarding the Insurance first question whether we should ask for insurance of Rs18000/- (As mentioned on GTran Box) or Rs12001/- (As charged by Reliance). If anyone has details regarding handset insurance please submit it here.
gtran_rocks 0 Report post Posted August 28, 2004 Hey saurav, am not sure about the Insurance thing... but this is to correct you and for information of all GTRAN handset owners : GTran has got no authorized service station in India Gtran does have official service centres in Delhi and now one in Mumbai as well. I visited RWW and got the details about the Mumbai Service Centre for GTRAN. Am starting a new thread for service centres of GTRAN. All of you can get the details there.
