ashoksoft 83 Report post Posted December 2, 2008 No Xenon Flash !!! The only down side I should say else I would have chucked out the 82. Actually ... they could learn something from the Sony Ericsson K850i, integrating a xenon flash along with the conventional Dual LED (or in that case a triple LED). Or maybe they'll launch that with a new name N98 cheers karki
Honest 836 Report post Posted December 2, 2008 No Xenon Flash !!! The only down side I should say ^^^ Point noted MY LORD. Very rightly said my dear Ashok Bhai, absence of Xenon Flash is really a setback.
Mufaddal 678 Report post Posted December 3, 2008 yes absence of xenon will put off many people but lets not forget dual led will also help in video recording in low light conditions.......and besides xenon is actually required if u take a lot of pics in dark situations ....and dual led wud also do the job to some extent......there r a lot of people like me that dont take much pics in extreme dark situations for them even dual led is good enoug i m sure nokia will cum up with xenon flash model also ......but it is not sure whether it will have full qwerty as well .....as nokia r plannin a full touchscreen nseries with 8mp without qwerty....that might b having a xenon flash ....this is a marketing gimmick if they include xenon they willl leave out sumthin else .... ashoksoft 83 Report post Posted December 3, 2008 @mufaddal Thats why i mentioned about the Sony K850i ... had a xenon flash - and also a triple LED !! So both video and Still imaging works real kewl !!!
Mufaddal 678 Report post Posted December 3, 2008 though sony ercicsson puts xenon as well as led lights for video recording in k850 but the os is crap non smartphone os with outdated philips processors so it is pretty much justified that they have to make up sumwhere for this by making it a image savy device ....if u see on their smartphones they havent put xenon flashes they still have led flashes .......same thing they doin with c905...... even nokia is doing the same marketing gimmick......putting alll the features overpowering the device but leaving out sumthin......if they put everything in one device then who will buy other handets in porfolio.....look at it this way ....if they had put xenon in n958gb then who wud go with n82 ( except for those who prefer candy bars) ...... no company wud want its own handset to compete with other similar handsets in its portfolio ....and i m sure nokia wiill cum up with a similar spec handset with xenon flash ...but in a different form factor so as to keep sales of both devices up
Mufaddal 678 Report post Posted January 19, 2009 File this under “rumors” or “wishful thinking” until we hear anything official from NokiaHowever, quite respected online retailer, Play.com, has a pre-order page for the upcoming n97on its website. From there, we’ve learn that the highly anticipated device will start shipping on March 31st. The price is kinda steep — 479.99 GBP, which is about $707 — but then again, that amount buys the single best Nokia smartphone released to date. Both the large touchscreen and full QWERTY keyboard are on board, meaning this baby could help you increase your productivity while on the go. Alternatively, it’s also a media savvy device, sporting a 5 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and dual-LED flash, media player, 32GB of built-in storage memory, GPS, WiFi, 3G (HSDPA), and a whole lot more
