Honest 836 Report post Posted December 3, 2008 Nokia Maps 3.0 Beta Revealed Nokia Maps has had another upgrade to version 3.0 Beta on Ovi. The upgrades that Nokia is bringing to the table, according to the reports, includes services like hi-res aerial imaging, instant access to real time information such as camera alerts, safety spots and traffic information where and when it’s available of course and enhanced Drive and Walk navigation and 3D landmarks for certain maps and cities. Maps 3.0 Beta works with all Nokia devices based on S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 2 except the N96. The company states that there are still a few bugs to weed out. However they have also said that an S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 1 support is on the way. Maps Beta on Ovi works on IE6 (Windows XP), IE7, Firefox 2 and Firefox 3 (Windows XP or Vista). ::Hitesh:: 1,763 Report post Posted May 6, 2010 OVI Maps Can Be Programmed With Your Screaming Voice to Guide Your GPS Turns If you're bossy enough to tell others what to do, how about leading by example and following your own advice?! The free OVI Maps for newer Symbian phones from Nokia now comes with option to use your own voice programmed to tell you to "turn left" or "go straight ahead" so you won't get lost--considering you trust yourself powered by the Navteq maps onboard.
