Is Reliance Blocking Access To Airtel's Site?

Recommended Posts

I am living here in Trivandrum and I am subscribed to reliance Broadnet 300 kbps unlimited plan.

Past five days I am trying to open the airtel's site - airtel.in - but could not succed. Today I tried opening it from my office and it worked fine. Also I am not able to open ideacellular.com.

Can anyone here in Trivandrum, having a broadnet connection or any other connection verify this ?

I just checked, works fine. Please let me know the result of the following commands:

(assuming that you are using Windows XP)

tracert airtel.in

nslookup airtel.in

yes reliance dns servers were not responding for airtel site, nor any other dns servers when used through reliance broadnet were giving response to airtel.in dns query. one solution was to add airtel.in ip to windows hosts file

Since using other DNS servers did not work, does it mean that they are specifically blocking it?
