Honest 836 Report post Posted December 17, 2008 ^^^ But in one of the post Kshah told that EVDO enabled Data Card doesn't provide that much high speed. He used the same quite sometime back. Maybe now the speed is better my dear friends.

He used the same quite sometime back. Maybe now the speed is better my dear friends. BSNL EVDO data card supports both EVDO and 1x connectivity. It gives EVDO speeds if EVDO towers are available, other-wise 1x speeds which are similar to R-Connect. Further, speed also depends on the distance from the nearest EVDO tower. For anyone staying within 1 KM aerial distance, speed is excellent. Beyond that signal strength starts to drop. Since, its wireless, there is of course ups and downs in the speed and its not constant as in the case of wired Broadband. But BSNL EVDO is better than the 128 kbps connections given by most pvt. players in the name of broadband any day.
