Forgotten PIN !!

Hi friends,

I have enabled the Lock code so that unauthorized perosn won't use it and I changed the default password 0000 to xxxx.But then I disabled it long back.Yesterday my friend enabled by pressing #(space) button .NOw it is asking Unlcok code which I am not able to retrieve it .I tried all the possible things.Ay trips and tricks?? or shall I take it to the WebWorld.Will they charge me something and how many days they will take to repair this.

Any help??

i dont think they will charge you anything... if you go to webworld

If u have a cable u can have the security code by using unicdma.... But for ppl who dont know abt the stuff in that soft.. sometimes u may mess it up...

If so u better seek help from webworld

theres another method ... using bitpim

here's the instructions...

open up bitpim

and access the file system

open the folder called 'nvm'

and then the sub folder,also called 'nvm'

open the file called nvm_000 and the security code will be there in the 2 or 3rd line

hope it solves ur prob

yeh i noticed but in my handset

the code was in

nvm>nvm>

nvm_0002 instead of nvm_000 as u said

Well, another way to reset ur pin would be to go to the nearest LG service center instead of Rel Webworld and ask them to find out the PIN for u from the phone. I've seen them doin all that our frenz above posted. Or if they deny doin it, then ask them to simply reset the entire phone for u! (just rem to ask them to retain the phone book for u). Once they reset the phone, ur PIN will be reset to 0000
